Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Nah. Just don't love insecure people putting up false fronts to protect their own weak spines. What sense does it make to tell someone they must have no friends, because they don't like a website? Not even middle grade kids behave that way.

It's kind of like Twitter but better in terms of privacy options and customisation.

You write a message (character limit: 360 characters) and then shoot it off into your timeline - plurking for the action / plurk/s for the message - and others can respond to you in kind.

You can set your account as public or private and whether or not people not your mutuals can hit you up. Not only that, but set the plurks themselves can come in different sets of privacy mode. It can be open to all or only seen by you or a select group or none at all.

Another thing Plurk has are emotes. Emotes are little images - png or gif - you can get from others or upload yourself. These are used to signal what you're doing or feeling in that Plurk. Most games nowadays have a game emote at the ready when introducing themselves, so people can use that to show they're in the game.

Not only that but blocking does shit. You can't see the blocked user's messages and they can't see your profile or your messages.

I'm not on twitter so thanks for the rundown on the privacy benefits plurk has! Not having them to compare to sometimes makes me forget about all that.
