i'm thinking about apping to a murdergame! unfortunately, i never find out about them until they're underway, they're invite only, or they're gimmick rounds that don't suit any of my characters.

any recs on how to get your foot in the door?

There is no centralized way to find out about murdergames sadly, even the public ones largely gain their traction through plurks and you need to find them retweeted onto your timeline.

Though currently there seem to be none upcoming, even my long term murder friends don't have any options right now.

Do you have mg-players on your timeline? Asking those to keep you posted is honestly a best bet.

The murder community was, against the rumors, extremely welcoming to me as a newby and to other newbies as well, it's just a matter of stumbling onto game announcements at the right time. (Though ofc some games are cliquey as shit and you can get unlucky - most of those seem invite only by now though.)
