games used to have language barriers pretty frequently. discedo had one, and that game was anime dominated most of the time.

not every game requires some convenient pre-tower of babel magic spell to be played in, anon.

language barriers can spark in-game conflict and creative interactions between characters or a setting.

the language barrier can be used as an interesting challenge for characters to work together and problem-solve, or build cr by trying to learn how to communicate together despite the differences

your jab at the mods was unnecessary, but i think you bring a good point about the language barrier limiting interactions or even discouraging characters from apping, assuming people don't just pretend it doesn't exist.

there was a small game way back on lj that had a language barrier, and only ever had like one japanese-speaking anime character. i'm sure the players managed to have fun with it, but i'd get tired of all my threads being centered around just trying to be understood.

Well, the only good thing about all this wank is this game was brought to my attention when I wouldn't have seen it otherwise, so yay for a silver lining?

I'm tagging on the TDM and this game looks really interesting and a bit more out of the box then a lot of the usual DW games! I'm interested to app!

language barrier stuff aside, the mod team here are heavily LA-leaning, and the bias shows. if you're looking to play here from a drawn canon, good luck.
