It kinda depends on what you're running. There's no one best way. If you've got five of your closest mates all agreeing to AU their characters into the same setting that's a lot different than 15 people you get along with but don't necessarily know that well having OUs in an arena, and that's a lot different than running El Nysa or Recolle and setting up an elaborate PVP system for those games.

I need more info is what I'm saying. I mean.

i think in this case though im wondering how to like factor in those upsets because powerlevels are all well and good and important but i don't want to underrate ingenuity.

If I'm tagging someone and we agree that Goku's going to beat Superman this time, then I'm not sure why you need to step in at all if we're both chill with it. Is there a reason for it?

oh i wouldn't step in if those involved have agreed to an outcome all their own

the situation i described is more to use your example batman versus superman. if we just went with straight stats, clark comes out on top, but this (even canonically speaking) isn't always the case. batman uses his wits and cleverness to come out on top of enemies much stronger than he is. That's what i mean. i don't want to disregard that.

as for details what else do you need? it's about maybe 40 people? ish?
