she didn't say she reported the Tony player just Kilgrave and Supergirl

but she did say tony's player tried to godmod the prison into being exploded and refused to talk with her on plurk, both of which are disproved by these pastes. tony's player sounds like a pita but pink isn't smelling like roses either.

the pastes where tony and jessica's players had multiple lengthy conversations on plurk and tony's player repeatedly said that tony wasn't going to blow up the prison

read the last link again. all three players talked about frank not being the owner of the plot and the tony player kept trying to wrangle it so that he has to be involved because he's tony, guys. he has to. sure, he's wrong, but he has to. and then they came to a conclusion that surprised both other parties who flat out said no that's not happening, when did we agree to this.

it feels like the tony player had an idea in their head, their own script, and didn't even check the details of it. the prison wasn't fully built or operational. there were no npcs to ping, but he found the prison because he pinged off an npc. and he set up bombs around it that are just magically going to be ineffective, nevermind that they shouldn't be there in the first place, and there are no npcs and it's in the planning stages.

they read like someone that doesn't actually read what they're being told and just skims and does what they want. sorry. i don't especially like pink or ca, but cat came off as someone that muscled their way into a situation because they thought one player was involved and didn't realize another player was and still tried to make it their thing anyway, without knowing all the details or checking in with someone else about a plot that wasn't theirs to intrude on.

it was a mod approved plot. it had been in the works for months before tony's player got involved. they didn't have a right to just 'well, tony would do this'. that's nice. this is a collaborative hobby and i think maybe you don't know your character that well if you think tony wouldn't condone imprisoning trouble cases when he had a hissy fit and didn't do much about half his previous team winding up in a floating prison.

in the main paste even when she finally said she would keep the bombs out, she still tried to godmod by "usinc NPCs" the two players both clearly said were not there to figure out the secret location of the prison, and then got defensive when they reverified for her that wouldn't work

exactly. every time i see someone try to play tony as not liking established military/prisons, i just headshake and wonder if they even watched the movie.

i think they get that from im2, where tony tells the military to fuck off when they tell him to hand over the suit

but they're also missing the point where in that particular situation, that doesn't benefit him. of course he's going to tell them no. i'm not a guru of the character or anything but imo if cooperating would've gotten him what he wanted or benefited him somehow, he probably would have, because he's opportunistic and likes to stack the deck in his favor. being anti-government or anti-establishment has nothing to do with it, he's all about results.

also, there's that whole "tried to create a superhero registry" thing. a registry that would've handed the full names and personal details of supers over to the government/tony himself/whoever to keep tabs on them.

even in im2, it wasn't so much 'fuck the military/government' because he had a contingency that allowed rhodey to take the suit. so he just wanted to control who had access to a weapon that he built. tony's a character type that doesn't really think of the consequences until he's slapped in the face with them and made to feel guilty. he didn't care about selling weapons until they were used on him and he lost a person he'd wound up liking/respecting. he didn't care about how off the rails the avengers got until it affected him when the mother of the sokovia victim came up and bitched him out. tony's a childish genius character that is essentially almost on the spectrum with how he can lock on to one thing and ignore the realities of the situation until someone makes him feel them.

and then he opts to make it all his way instead of compromising. he's a complex character that can be hard to play because people tend to latch on to one aspect of him and overplay it instead of balancing him.

did he try to do the registry thing in the movie? been a while since i watched civil war

obvs he did in the comics but now i'm wondering why the x-men/brotherhood didn't come down on him like the fist of an angry god

he was pro sokovia accords and part of the whole idea of registering people which is why cap took his stance against him. registering people for existing was a 'bad thing' when he was first made a soldier, so he'd clearly be anti-registry. tony was definitely pro accords, and most of his team make up were people that didn't have abilities themselves. and he still had to recruit a kid, which i can't believe he actually did, tbh. sure, drag a super powered teenager into the mix and then act surprised when he tries to go out and do things, dangerous things, on his own when you're not watching.

but that's a whole other can of tony worms.

i know that at least in mcu, half the x-whoevers have been licensed by different studios and can only be used by that studio for however long, making a gigantic team-up movie impossible

i do know that the registry did get off the ground in the comics, at least, because (i'm pretty fuzzy on this, so ymmv on accuracy) when norman osborn got access to the registry, tony deleted all entries except for his own. might've been during the dark avengers thing?

In the comics, the Brotherhood wasn't really a thing at the time. House of M happened, Magneto was dead (except not really), and mutants as a whole were down to about 200 or so.

As far as the X-Men goes, there was a really shitty tie-in where Wolverine regenerated from being a skeleton, that's about it. When he went to the mansion to shill the SRA, they basically told him to fuck off.

You really came off an uncooperative dick here. Like I get that you were trying to have Tony be IC, but they'd gotten it approved by the mods and while it was reasonable to want to interact with it in some way, and to have Tony ICly have concerns over who was running it, dragging things back to "well then tony will blow it up" was an asshole strong-arming move. There are copious ways to wiggle around a character's IC discomfort to avoid your character's only response to something being "burn this mother down" when it would impinge on other players' ooc fun with something they were trying to organize. You could've have Tony have some IC conflict here without repeatedly pushing for him to destroy it or insisting they give up what they were working on just because of the whims of your character.

This is a collaborative hobby. Learn to be more flexible.

God this makes me so glad I didn't have CR with you and also reminds me why Tonys are the fucking worst. It's bad enough that most players have to have him technowizard away any mechanical difficulties, and then here you are wanting him to... blow up buildings to destroy IC and OOC work? i have played with a (very few) exceptionally good and ic tony's, and nothing i have seen referenced in these plurks as "being necessary for tony to be ic" is actually even sort of necessary for him to be ic.

i'm sorry, but i'm questioning your characterization as well as your ooc conduct now.
