Rundown:
rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.
Rules:
Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme. Your unfunny, forced memes also fall under this rule.
Do not treat this comm like your personal therapist. Threads about nonfictional suicide, self injury, rape, and abuse will be deleted. There are better resources out there for you.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.
Shut up about Tumblr. If it's not a discussion about Tumblr RP it will be deleted.

LOST CARNIVAL: faeries and fair rides
As imperfect and strange as its travels can be, its paid employees receive powerful faerie boons – favours from the Ringmaster that can be used to change your world or yourself as you see fit. While working there, it’s possible to learn magic, learn new skills, and discover parts of yourself you never knew existed. It’s also possible that you might grow some fantastical new physical features from the presence of the Ringmaster’s faerie magic, though the reviews of that particular service are mixed.
In the carnival you could become a new you, live a new life, and return home without ever having missed a thing. It used to be so easy.
But now the same faerie powers that enable the carnival’s journeys have returned to seek vengeance for actions of the ancient past. With long forgotten ties to both the Summer and Winter Courts of Arcadia, the Ringmaster has taken the carnival on the run, fighting to elude the enemies and allies she abandoned for a life among mortals eons ago – and all the while, those that follow her have been dragged into a battle between multiversal powers they never knew existed.
The Faerie Courts' hold on the multiverse is growing. How far will you run?
The game has entered its second year and its second IC season - stakes are higher than ever as characters are forced to fight for their freedom and potentially for the fate of the entire multiverse. There is a more serious and dramatic metaplot arc concerning the Faerie Courts mixed in with more lighthearted visits to various worlds and tour locations. The path the carnival takes is very much in your hands.
THE DAISYCHAIN PARADOX: Build-Your-Own-Fun Dimension Hopping Shenanigans
Fortunately, the CIA has the means and the technology to do just that; all they lack is the manpower, and to that end, they've recruited you. Are you in?
The Daisychain Paradox is a panfandom plot-centric game that's a sequel to Project Daisychain and based on the events of The Cloverfield Paradox, though you don't need to be familiar with either to play. Your character has been recruited by the CIA to fix the damage done to multiple dimensions and essentially save the multiverse; it's up to you how your character does it.

FACT: Alternate realities exist. All of them were born into existence at the same time, in the same way, containing the same things, and just like any other space that people were born into, they can only make the best of what they have.
And the inhabitants of reality 5561A have really screwed theirs up.
After discovering interdimensional travel, they immediately managed to pick a fight with the next universe over. A few hundred years later, and The Great War was over, leaving reality 5561A decimated, with only stragglers surviving on every planet in the reality. They packed up their portals and were left with only one remaining natural portal they couldn't close - their only real option to recover from the war and repopulate their dying reality.
Thus was founded Riverview Quarantine, a vast city nestled in a valley on a small moon orbiting the Capital World in reality 5561A. With the portal still active, anyone from any reality who feels, even for a fleeting moment, like they don't belong where they are can be pulled through to their new reality, where they can find a new home in a new community on any number of planets...after a pleasant 5-year stay in the Quarantine, to make sure they're not a danger to themselves or others.
Riverview is a relaxed choose-your-own-pace panfandom city game, with options for involvement in an easygoing plot that includes elements of exploration, fighting, and moderate worldbuilding. Set in Riverview Quarantine, a beautiful modern city in the middle of a lush forest in an alternate reality, characters are drawn into the city by a device that senses their displacement to a society that wants them to feel at home. The government is genuinely interested in the characters' well-being. Characters are not trapped forever, and if they were brought by mistake, the Government will do everything in its power to send them home - but it is not an easy task, picking where the portal manifests is something like steering a cyclone, and they ask that characters be patient and try to make the best of their time in the Quarantine until they can.
PHANTOM THIEVES INTERNATIONAL ★ A P5 AU GAME
Is there a mission for us?
In this world powerful people seem to get away with anything. They take, they hurt, they exploit, and they don't give a damn about the people who suffer. Wouldn't it be great if someone could change their hearts? Wouldn't it be great if YOU could change their hearts?
In cities across the world, rumors of a new organization flood the streets and the corners of the internet. A group, known as the Phantom Thieves, claim to be working to change the world for the better. They steal the hearts of the wicked, forcing them to confess their sins to the public and accept the punishment of their transgressions.
But who are these "Phantom Thieves"? Are they real? And why do they do what they do?
--
Phantom Thieves International is a Panfandom Alternate Universe game based heavily on the universe of Persona 5. Players will take on the role of Phantom Thieves of Heart and their accomplices, using their personal spirit of rebellion to face otherworldly foes and steal the hearts of the wicked, causing them to confess their crimes before society. Taking place in modern day Los Angeles, the Phantom Thieves will strike back at those who have wronged themselves and society and try to make the world a better place.
Content Warning: Persona games are rated mature due to the subject matter they deal with. This game will follow much of the spirit of the games, and will as such involve storylines that touch on subjects such as racism, prejudice, assault, exploitation, and rape. As will the Persona games, some of the more lurid content will be more implicit than explicit, and the mod team will do our best to portray the topics we do take on with appropriate consideration. While this game is not currently age-restricted, it will deal with more serious subject matter and players are encouraged to address such issues in their character plots and backstories. While everyone should come into the game expecting discussion of potentially triggering content, we ask that any explicit descriptions of such content be labeled with a content warning and placed under a cut. Persona, especially Persona 5, is about confronting ills of society and overcoming them, and it would be a disservice to the source material to shy away from some of the greater ills in the world today.

SOMNIUS: Sci-fi/horror themed RP - Applications open Monday!
You need to wake up. You need to get out of there now, before it's too late. They know where you are. They know how to find you, and it won't be long until they come looking. They want you back. If they manage to take you, they won't let you go again. They won't make the same mistakes. You have to wake up.
I won't be able to help you a second time. If they find you, they'll take you beyond my reach. Stay hidden. Stay safe. Don't let them win. Don't let them keep you.
Somnius is a sci-fi/horror themed RPG in which characters find themselves waking up in a seemingly abandoned research facility. Their last memories are of a world filled with order and routine. A daily cycle of events that have gone on for longer than they remember. But with their awakening comes memories of a life before all of that. A life filled with family and friends. Perhaps of heroes and villains, action and adventure. Memories of a life that exists worlds away, and it's up to them to try and find out how to make their way back home...

RADIANT SWORDS: A Worldbuilding Game
Destruction is the foundation of progress.
Creation is thesis. Destruction is antithesis.
Achieve synthesis.
This is not your body -- though it feels much the same, it exists only by your will. No longer are you the creature you once were, for you have been taken from that life. You are a being of raw primal force now, incarnated to act in the name of Thesis or Antithesis.
This is not your home -- though you have brought it here with you. Aspire, the Void City, takes it shape from your memory and will. You will impress on it your thoughts, and it will respond, so that once again you may walk into the castle of your liege or your office on the 33rd floor... but ever will they remain empty, for Aspire will not protect nor shield you from your task.
This is not your world -- though by your hand is it made. The drained husk of the Once-Was lays before you, awaiting the touch of your elements to shape it into what will be. You will shape it, by power, by choice, by conflict, by harmony.
This is not your universe -- though perhaps it awaits you still somewhere. Yet if light-scoured wastes of Thesis or the dark-shrouded mysteries of Antithesis have answers, they are not yours for the taking. Perhaps, instead, you should look into Dreams.
Radiant Swords is a game of world-building, where characters are strange beings with dominion over an element, charged with creating a world out of a smoking husk. Both characters and players have a chance to change the setting, and their inputs determine how it changes and what happens next. Travel to other planes, find remnants of your old life or any sort of reference you want in Aspire, and make the most of the world you're facing -- literally.

PROGRESS CITY: a disney world-inspired jamjar
It all starts when you find a theme park ticket.
It doesn't matter where you were or what you were doing, but you found a ticket, and you touched it. The next time you open your eyes, you're here, in the heart of Progress City. You've got some sort of strange band attached to your wrist, and you learn where you are, slowly but surely. Welcome to Progress City, the happiest flux dimension in the universe! Tourists from every universe come here to visit, and it looks like something is keeping you from leaving. You’ll be provided with free housing and a job, if you’d like them. Furthermore, it looks like that strange band on your list is allowing you access to strange abilities... To all those who come to this magical place, welcome. We hope you enjoy your stay.
Progress City is a panfandom jamjar set in a flux dimension inspired by Disney Theme Parks (particularly Walt Disney World in Florida) and the original concept for EPCOT (a city that would connect to the theme parks). The game is also inspired by the short run-Disney game, Foolish Mortals, though it's designed to be easily accessible to people who weren't part of that game.
Your character will be able to explore the city and theme parks freely, in addition to using the magicband attached to their wrist to occasionally defend the park from supernatural threats. They will also be assigned a job working at the parks or within the city themselves, though can choose to set off on their own once they land on their feet.

ENTARTUNG :: A dystopian city game set on a Dyson ring :: Apps open May 20th
After this, you find yourself back in a physical state. You are sedate and calm, taking in your surroundings with curiosity, without panic or distress. You are dressed in clean white robes, with any injuries having been miraculously healed. Along with others, you are seated in a circle around the altar, gazing at a logo suspended in midair: SYNC.
It's not long before you realize the logo you have been viewing is a menu, displayed within your line of sight. You reach toward your eyes to find the source of the image, but there is nothing there; dimly, you remember a gun being pressed to the base of your skull, and something being injected—a chip or some other device. You reach back to feel the injection point, but it is fully healed.
So begins your life on Entartung, a segmented Dyson ring orbiting a white dwarf star in a faraway galaxy. The people here seem content to give up their personal autonomy for some personal safety, and they don't seem to mind bodily intrusions like having the network chip implanted.
The thing is that Entartung seems to have many more secrets than the people who have lived here are willing to divulge. Will you be able to help discover them?
Entartung is a panfandom sci-fi jamjar game with themes including political intrigue, personal autonomy, sociology, and religion. Actions taken by characters will determine the scope and pace of events, with puzzles to solve and mysteries to uncover.
