Hello hello anons! I've had a really great week and some really great threads so far with this new jackass, and I'd love to pay a bit of community hospitality and love forward.

I'm giving away two-month paids (or the equivalent in points!) to the first three new accounts who reply here logged-in and tell me a little bit about the new character they've picked up. As far as I'm aware, the only 'canon' information regarding Pidge's age is a fan-shot video of a fan asking a series of loaded questions to a couple of staff members. If some people choose to view that as what her age should be, that's fine by me, but any other canon source material doesn't give an exact number for her age.

If you prefer to think of it as 'aging up', that's okay. I just really can't find anything that I would see as solid canon evidence to support that she's canonically 14.

This is Thace! He's from Voltron: Legendary Defender and he's part of the Blade of Marmora, a resistance group fighting against the Galra's current leader. Poor guy is stuck as a spy in the Galra army, on the ship with the previous mentioned leader.

and how do you feel about older parents in general? i have the opinion that one shouldnt even have kids until they're at least 35 and i follow the philosophy that as long as they arent bigots grandparents should be raising the kids, but i've had people tell me off because "i have older parents, of course i think this"

I work a more-than-full-time job and a part-time job and don't have time to RP, play videogames or watch television anymore, and it's making me resent all the people on my plurk timeline who are still in school or unemployed or work normal hours and have time to do fun things.

Seriously though, hope you find a job soon, anon, as bitter as I am to be overworked I remember how discouraging and unpleasant unemployment was and wish you the best.

Kinda outing myself since it's a rare combo in the entertainment world. I mainly work on theatre productions but I've also done sound tracks for indie game projects led by friends.

Do you play anyone else from Voltron?

OOC: Pretty much it's something for all your comments about something. You'll especially see this a lot with murdergame players on investigation and trial days, but they also can work well with events, general squeeing about threads that day, etc. for non-murdergames. Some folks also will do one for new canons they are into

Games: Pretty much they are a log posted by a person usually for all their closed one on one threads, but there is usually an open or network prompt for anyone to jump in on. This is mostly so people don't spam up the logs community too much, but it also helps for AC by keeping your threads in one easy to find spot.

Museboxes: Some people also will put up a post for all their muses or even a single one to do fun random one-off scenarios outside of memes and PSLs. These also can be referred to as call me out posts, but I've seen catch all used for them too.

But overall the idea of a catch all is to have a single spot for multiple things that are related and not spam excessively.

that's awesome, anon! what kind of costumes have you made in the past?

1. a tentative yes, mostly for friends or friends of friends. i'd probably stick to making armor, accessories, or fabric painting stuff though, since i don't have an eye for fitting clothes to people (i have to try on everything i make 10+ times to make sure it's even fitted to me) and don't particularly like sewing. i only put up with it cause the clothes i make go on me lol

2. i don't think differently about cosplayers regardless of how they come by the costume and the quality of the costume, but i am a lot more interested in chatting with people who make the costume themselves-- "talking shop," as it were. that said, while i do the whole thrift store/repurposing/oh hey this martini glass would make a great cosplay whatever thing, i also don't have any room to throw shade on people who spend $$$ on cosplay since it's one of my most expensive hobbies too HAHA.

when i was starting out with cosplay (and by that i mean like.... the first 5 years i cosplayed...) and also had a really limited amount of money, the prospect of dropping big bucks on something you could make yourself also seemed totally ridiculous, but after cosplaying for a while and taking on more complicated (and subsequently expensive) projects, i can see why other people would do it if what they valued most was their time
