reading about foreign language community wank and found what i'll quote below. what would you call this type of person? besides a plagiarist or a liar.

Yearlyglot, however, didn't mention any of this at all on his blog. Imagine how surprised I was to read as follows:

I cook a lot and eat a lot. I default toward making a lot of soups and meat-and-rice heavy dishes though, so lately I've been trying to buy and incorporate more veggies into my meals... either that, or throw a handful of spinach into everything I touch. Also trying to do more portion control so I can box up what I don't finish and bring it in for lunch instead of inhaling everything I cook in one fell swoop.

I wish I had more time and infinite money to cook whatever the fuck I want, lol. I love to cook.

tldr: joined a furry forum. former weeaboo ashamed of her weeb past hated me for being an annoying weeaboo teenager. told me to leave her alone but then she would butt into my forum conversations to get mad at things i did. even demonized me for being friends with an abusive person who did shitty things to me and my friends.

there's a girl i knew on a furry forum who hates me because i first joined the forum when i was in middle school (8th grade, i'm in my mid 20's now) and this may be hard to believe... but i was a really annoying and immature weeaboo! also, disclaimer: she used to be a huge weeaboo herself and was learning japanese at the time and acting like that made her better than other japan fans.

i was a huge bully target so i whined a lot about hating school and FUKKIN PREPZ. i'm not gonna deny that i was an annoying little shit, but i feel like she was way too fucking petty about it.

i only contacted her once btw, every other time she's approached me on the forum. i looked at her profile and noticed we had similar interests (inuyasha! sailor moon! other shitty anime! evanescence! her fursona's cute!) and messaged her on aim to ask if she wanted to be friends. she politely turned me down saying that she wasn't interested and that her profile was out of date and i never bothered her ever again.

whenever i or one of my similarly aged friends said something on the forum she didn't like, she would whine about my generation (she's 7 years older than me iirc) and she would threaten to report us to the mods even if we didn't break any actual rules (she was friends with the admin and some of the mods), or she'd butt into conversations that didn't even involve her just to whine about how annoying we were or to correct our shitty japanese. not that correcting dumb weebs is pointless or a crime, but she clearly didn't like us (mostly me, lol) and wanted us to leave her alone so it was weird as fuck that she'd... well... keep butting into our lives and getting angry about it?

the forum in question had a lot of subforums including an art subforum where a lot of users had their own art threads to post their own shitty furry art, and sometimes she'd post in our threads to correct our japanese. i mean, if you hated somebody and were annoyed by their whole existence, why would you go into a thread that's for their own personal stuff? i appreciated the japanese tips but thought that she was kind of a huge bitch. i didn't bother complaining to any mods because i didn't think they'd care though.

this girl hated me so much that she would harass some of my forum friends that weren't even as weeby and annoying as i was. one of my friends enjoyed roleplaying in the rp subforum and after she finally became a mod, she started bossing him around. she wouldn't make any threats, but she would pm him to say that he should edit his post a little so it would benefit her character. i don't remember all of her shitty little demands but at least one demand was along the lines of "hey, you should let my character win this fight." he wasn't much older than me but he was a genuinely nice and non-dramatic person, so we both knew that she was targeting him because he was my friend.

let me remind you that i only approached her once. i never purposely talked to her after that aim conversation unless she talked to me first. if we both posted in the same general topic, i would never quote or reply to her. i thought her art was cute but i never posted in her art thread or interact with her on sites like deviantart. her art's not cute anymore though, she hasn't improved in fucking years lmao.

years later i discovered that she made her own forum on a site like proboards for "the popular kids", aka her small group of friends. i actually discovered it by searching for my dumb fursona's name to see how dumb and immature i was over the years. there was a special rule on her forum that you were ABSOLUTELY NOT ALLOWED if you were (insert a list of my name, some of my friends' names, and names of other people she didn't like) and you would be banned on sight. it wasn't an active forum but it was still... wow. extremely fucking petty.

another reason she didn't like me was because i associated with a mentally unstable abusive asshole who fucked me and some of my friends over. let me just say that this abusive guy tried guilting my fellow underage friend into a relationship and even carved her fursona's name into his arm when she wanted to end things because he was batshit. as for me? well... when i ranted to him about my teachers at school, i was dumb/trusting enough to use their names ("i hate mr. smith, he's such a dick!") so he googled my teachers' names and emailed them death threats. yeah, i got in a lot of fucking trouble because of that. someone in our friend group aired out our dirty laundry on the forum and the abusive guy himself tried to bs his own side of the story and it all got deleted by mods (this was before she was a mod), but it wouldn't surprise me if my grudgewanker knew about some of the details from hearing it through the grapevine.

other forum goers were a lot nicer about my teen ignorance and would either pm me to let me know what i was doing wrong or educate me publicly. they honestly didn't have to but looking back, i really appreciate it. at least they didn't cry about KIDS THESE DAYSSSSSSSSSSSSS like a certain someone.

i remember seeing her vaguepost about me on her tumblr 2-3 years ago and imply that i was "probably still acting like a giant twat on some other forum/site" but she seems to have deleted that post. i get that i was an annoying ass teenager, but how childish are you if you assume "this 13-15yo teenager will never grow up!" after almost 10 fucking years? why does she even still think about me, wtf? she seems to have deleted her other douchey posts too.

she went into the jet program and lived in japan for a while and i remember her making a post whining about how her american friends and family spammed her phone with messages after there was some huge earthquake in japan. her area wasn't greatly affected and she went to sleep afterwards but FUCK THOSE GUYS for being so "annoying" and worrying about her when she didn't say anything to them for hours. fuck them for caring about her and forgetting about time zones because they were worried!

i know this is bait but... no. even back when i only played in smut games/smut memes, i never fapped to my threads. i don't fap to them at all. i enjoy them, yes, but there's no hands in the pants. most people can play without touching themselves. if that's what you take away from smut threads, maybe you need to invest in actual pornography. or batteries.

How much time do you spend deciding who to reply to on memes, anons? And what's your process for deciding?

Like if there are multiple versions of a character on a meme and none of them are played by people you know, how do you choose between them?

Is your decision making process different for cross-canon/cross-medium tagging than for tagging castmates?

for starters, i don't 'know' most people on memes. outside of that, if i know of the player or have seen their version around and don't particularly enjoy their playing style/characterization, i wouldn't reply to them or tag back. i'll tag a lot of people back and i can take eagerness and willing to play over superb quality and flaking, but really bad characterization or shitty head canon will definitely make me back off. so will shitty playing and desperate tagging of all the x's for smut ever.

I was wondering, how accessible is this game if you're not familiar with Dragon Age canon? the premise looks just what myself and a friend of mine are looking for, but is the learning curve any steeper than it is for other games in terms of understanding the mechanics? is it worth speeding through an LP before apping or can I survive on the game's own info pages and/or a canon wiki? how's the game atmosphere?

Yes I look at them, but... Idk, I'm not really judging one way or the other? If they have lots of comments posted I do kind of assume they're more likely to last out a psl/meme thread more than a journal with 1-10 comments posted, but I have been proven spectacularly wrong about this a bunch of times.

I sometimes look at the number of comments posted for a character I play nothing but shameless smut with, and then judge myself, but that's different.

Hey anons, tell me your opinions on what reply length do you consider to be appropriate. (in regards to tags that are more than just a few sentences and have [exposition], etc.)

Like if your last tag was p meaty, do you expect the exact same in return? Is getting a longer reply a problem or do you like it? If you get less, are you offended? How much less is too little to where you actually will get offended/put off?

i tldr a lot but i don't expect people to match my length or whatever. honestly as long as it seems like they gave effort (meaning: read my tag, responded to what needed responding to, and then moved it forward somehow with their own input) i won't be too put off. if a short tag does that, okay. if i'm enjoying the thread and i keep getting short tags back, i usually limit my own tags so i'm not annoying someone else, but tbh i don't enjoy stuff like the tfln meme or anything where a sentence would be "enough"
