there are no big bads in su. everyone is thrown in the cuddle pile and healed by steven's pure, loving heart. this is why i've stopped having any hope for the supporting cast in the long term. seeing how they shat up lapis+peridot and hearing their plans for jaser just makes me gag.

Legend of the Galactic Heroes AU in which you sign your character up to be a part of the FPA or the Empire. I had no plans to make this at all and just thought it would be cool hypothetically, so I have no details about how this would even work. I had even wanted something like being able to rp space battles but it's also too complex.

I think I'm going to list it as primarily AU with a little note it's memloss too.

i came up with the idea for and helped write and run a massive plot in my game where people swapped memories, shared sensory experiences, and were forced to hold hands to avoid the mental link hurting or killing them. watching what everyone did with it was the best mod experience i had.

What I said to them was actually:

"I don't mean to be rude, but sometimes when you write stuff like this (example) it makes it really hard for me to understand what you're trying to convey. Sometimes less is more, and using over-flowery language can lessen the impact you're trying to have rather than make it more meaningful."

He writes like this in everyday messages, too. I think he's trying to sound inspiring or to say something memorable and poetic, but it just ends up being confusing and the message is completely lost. It's gotten especially bad since after the election because he feels people need encouragement and inspiring messages.

I guarantee it isn't you, anon! It isn't so much his use of words that are difficult to understand (I could just Google them after all) but that he strings them together in a way that makes it difficult to figure out what he means.

For instance, this is what he would say: "Because while inexcusable, preventative measures can be taken to ensure corrective action can be executed. Which it should, or else it reaches the point that the illness swells to being able to have anything admissible."

I had to ask him what he meant, and it basically boiled down to "some people can get to the point where they use untreated mental illnesses as an excuse for bad behavior."

Hopefully you guys can see my issue.

That said, I told him that his wording usually leaves me scratching my head, so hopefully he'll start thinking his phrasing through better.
