scroll down to the part where they say 'within the next decade'. it's happening, anon. and there are already self driving vehicles. we're past the stage of our development where things take decades to come into fruition. computers don't take up whole rooms anymore. our problem is also that we're coming up with and implementing things well before entirely making sure it's the right thing. that 'long way' isn't so long when you take our course of development into consideration and realize we already have the tech for it.

we were too mean to yield anon, tbh. they were obviously in a not great emotional place and while their post may have been dumb, it was harmless and really didn't necessiate that level of vitriol.

poland: supreme jaffa cakes (oh my god), korwki milanowskie, familijne cream wafers

south korea: choco-pies, pepero (they're like pocky), idk what brand kimchi ramen, kancho choco biscuits, choco boy, haitai sweet plum candy (things i did not like: waffle mate isn't bad but it's bland, dried seaweed)

sweden: ballerina choko by goteborgs, marabou chocolate

Pesek Zman (especially Big Bite and 4play, forgive the godatrocious name), Krembo (esp mocha-flavored!), Mekupelet, Kariot (it's a cereal brand -- they're all pretty good), Halva, Kinder chocolate (Bueno milk/white, eggs, fingers) and Klik (especially the Kariot and Pecan ones, though again, they're all pretty good). I also really dig the Wissotzky vanilla-cinnamon red tea!

This whole app round is pretty exciting. I'm especially looking forward to Jason, Victor, and Skinny Steve.

I still currently RP on ij and it is on fact slow AF or down, their pm functions are shit, and while it does allow you to bit people who follow and watch your journal ( I love this feature!) and they purge journals frequently, they only give a two week window before it's differed AND purged which I think is way too small. That's why so many. Icon comms you find have dead links

sushki - they're like little crunchy bread rings you often snack on with coffee, they come in different flavors, but mostly they're just plain
halva - is actually more of a general middle eastern/asian dish, and it's sort of like fudge, but softer - it's often made from sesame paste and can have chocolate mixed into it
pryaniki - a really soft gingerbread/honey spice cookie, often frosted
kissel - kind of hard to describe but it's kind of like a thick fruit-flavored soup/drink, often eaten warm
poppy seed roll - kind of a pastry filled with poppy seed filling
bird's milk (ptasie mleczko) - often put into candy bars, but a kind of light and soft meringue that isn't terribly sweet

hope that helps! i know polish cuisine sometimes overlaps with russian cuisine, so there's a chance you'll find these things in the poland sections of your store

tbh it's never been a doubt whether or not we have the technology, it's more about what kind of decisions a robot car is going to make. have you ever played those online games where they ask you whether you'd swerve to avoid a kid if it meant running over a doctor? those are the kind of issues that are stalling robot cars.
