Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. Out of curiosity, how'd you guys customize your Demon Hunters? Gross scaly skin or horns? Both? Standard blindfold, veil, or nothing? Tattoos or no tattoos?

red scaly skin and stubby horns for my belf with the fancy red and gold beaded veil for a blindfold. no tattoos, since i don't like the way they look with the scaly skin texture.

my nelf has the darkest skin tone available, no scales. purple tattoos, ram horns, and the blue and silver blindfold.

i did the skin w the extra fel veins and for the blindfold i picked the opaque black one that hangs partially over the face because im an edgelord. horns/tattoos are a both strong yes, and i picked the brightest green color for the latter. dhs look weird to me w/o them tbh... i don't even really like the non-green colors for tattoos. :<

Nelf: I went with the bright green tattoos too. They really pop on the dark purple/black scaled skintone. No blindfold for me; just gaping, felfire-filled sockets. No horns. I also used the DH-only black hair.

Belf: Reddish skin with one of the more craggy, "demonic" looking face options. Dark green tattoos, stubby devil horns, and the sheer black veil.

Standard blindfold for my nelf dude and slightly fancier blindfold for the nelf lady (I tried to make a belf so I'd have one of each faction, but just couldn't get into it for some reason even though I do really like the way they've combined the blood elf and demon hunter aesthetics.)

I went whole hog with the scales and horns, too. I figure if we're given the option for a new kind of skin texture that non-hero classes don't get, it would be a shame not to take advantage (which is why all my death knights look extra dead, too.) And the tats are necessary for RP immersion even though I don't really RP RP in-game. I originally went with the bright-ass neon fucking green ones that you can see from space, but then changed the ones on my dudenelf to purple so they wouldn't clash with the artifact skin I was using.

I also really appreciate that armor just looks skimpier on demon hunters than on everyone else. It's great.

My DKs all use the undead skins too, because what's the point of being an unholy abomination if you don't look like one? Same thing with DHs; Blizz put in the effort to make all those skins, so I might as well go whole hog.

I tend to use old leather sets for transmog, like right now I'm favoring this: http://www.wowhead.com/transmog-set=1006/vancleefs-battlegear-lookalike and this: http://www.wowhead.com/transmog-set=1004/malfurions-battlegear-lookalike for my nelf lady, so I don't really get the benefit of skimpier DH armor though. At the very least I mogged the shoulders off so I can see a little of her tattoos.

the most ornate veil available for my blood elf. bitter, despair-consumed demon hunter she may be, but she's still a blood elf. "plain" just won't do. she's also got one of the reddish skins with fel veins and horns.

my nelf's just got bandages for a blindfold. pale, greyish scaled skin, dark blue tattoos, and the same horns cyana has.
