rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Apparently. I can remember when we used to fill the favorites within a day every new anons, including even some favorite threads. Sure there were a lot of repeats, but there's been like one player mentioned tops the past few anons lately. :/

capeandcowl's cast is really neat. for the most part they've really bucked the trend of homestuck cast cliqueyness and have wide spanning cr with the rest of the game - they're all very open with their plots, and very easy to interact with. trollcast drama is plentiful and amazing. in particular, i enjoy the Kanaya (

glowsferatu), Feferi (

trident), Karkat (

crab), Rose (

seeress), and look forward to the new Tavros (

uncertainty)!

i remember first seeing

foretaste in a d_m thread full of shitty dragon clipart back before the dw move, and while I've never personally threaded with them, they're a spot-on and hilarious Terezi. i'll admit to creeping on their smell permissions post too, in part for all the different characters' smells/tastes but mostly for the player's commentary on castmates'.

and i was also a big fan of

ironies, though i don't think they play anywhere anymore. they were playing bro before the alpha kids were revealed, and to be honest, i still like their bro better than any dirk i've seen. strider humor is hard to pull off without overdoing it or missing the particular type of humor entirely, but they really pulled it off. it doesn't hurt that they were pretty damn good with rhymes on top of all that.

they also don't play anymore that i'm aware of, but hardonic on lj was also a favorite of mine, for a lot of the reasons mentioned above! nailing the strider humor without forgetting that dave's being a coolkid doesn't make him cool, the raps, how they handled his flaws, and all that good stuff. my only complaint is that they didn't stick around longer.

And yes, I couldn't say enough about how much I love the rest of the cast. I'm privileged to be able to play with and against these folks.

And yeah, I regret only managing to get one thread with

hardonic while they were still at cnc, but the others I'd seen of theirs before the drop were all pretty great.

glowsferatu is one of the best kanayas i've seen. they really dig deep with her personality and motivations. i love seeing their write-ups on certain aspects about kanaya on here.

crab is one of the very few good, IC karkats out there. i'm glad they make his speech varied and don't rely on constant "fuck"s. has a good vocabulary for him.

seeress is great and plays her dry, unimpressed attitude very well. one of the notable roses.

foretaste is amazing. one of my favorites. they are always so creative with her posts and comments.

ironies plays

sickwicked now. i've only seen them in memes but i think they're apping to asgard? their dirk is just as awesome as their bro. they have the striders' speech patterns down perfect.

sickwicked. she is not only a great bro but an utterly fantastic dirk, too, which is especially impressive considering how much canon we've got on him so far. she taps into his head in a way that i find really impressive- like you said, i think she nails the speech pattern.

As for hardonic, yeah ): The player got incredibly busy with everything that was going on in her life and had to let go of rp. Last I checked with her, she was thinking of trying another game (with a non-homestuck character), and I'm not sure if she went through with it or not, but it sounds like she wanted to ease herself back into RP now that she might have a little more time. And she's still definitely into homestuck, so maybe if we're lucky we'll see her Dave around again someday!
