don't you mean the entire ancestor cast? they're all shit. the kids and trolls aren't too bad on their own, but having the ancestors ruins the whole thing. they're all an awkward ooc mess of interactions.

idk how you can judge most of them for being 'ooc' because a lot don't have canon info, but, yeah, most of vat's ancestors are just terrible for a multitude of other reasons. their handmaid in particular is fucking awful.

You realize that only people that care about you improving on what you're currently doing would go to your HMD. Your Darkleer made sense right up until the Summoner and you spun wildly out into LETS FUCK CONSTANTLY territory when you realized you could get a ship that has sex in it.

So why crit you? Your not going to change.

And here's a tip, you'll never get crit if you keep logging IPs. People leave shit anonymously because they don't want you to know who the fuck they are.

I didn't realize IP was on. For that, I'll apologize. I'm still fuzzy with how to get the whole thing working and thought I had it off.

As for his CR with Summoner... We are trying to cut back in how much it shows in the game. Vat isn't a sex game and all, we just get carried away sometimes. And yes, they do have sex a lot! However, while I can't speak for the Summoner RPer (although it should be obvious), I can speak for my own interpretation of Darkleer and say that I view him as something of a sexual person!

Okay this is going to spin wildly out of control into a talk about Darkleer's libido. Avert ye eyes, ye innocent souls.

I'm just going to take a moment to remind everyone that, yeah, the ancestors in any game are pretty much going to be canon OCs, with a few exceptions like Mindfang. Anyone who is going to play them has to interpret things from Word of God and what little the character has been said to have done in canon. Now, for almost all of the ancestors, Hussie himself has said that they're, more or less, adult versions of the kids.

Now let's look at Equius' introduction and continued appearances: His interesting definition of 'fine art' which seems to include ginormous horse cock. (You'll notice the other highbloods don't seem to share the same idea, so I guess it takes a certain kind of... taste.) His excitement at being ordered around, especially by those who shouldn't have the 'right' to (Aradia, Karkat). When Aradia kisses him, he seems to roll with it pretty well, initial shock of having the shit beaten out of him aside.

General interpretation? The kid is learning about his sexuality, or has learned about it, and he's starting to like what he sees so far.

Now let's mature him. Let's put him into the military, and one of the professed most noble branches of it. (Although Equius could very well be biased when he says that about the Archeradicators.) Let's give him years and years and years of time to learn about his sexuality, to have sex both out of duty and indulgence, and to figure out what he likes, what he doesn't. However, he is also a soldier and someone who does his best to stay in control. So, even while he really likes thinking about sex and having sex and secretly being a debauched pervert that no one would suspect, he didn't get to indulge, probably, as much as he'd like to.

And that was BEFORE he got in exile. I don't think you get a lot of ass when you're exiled from all of society and your only company is robots and Mindfang.

And Mindfang is... Mindfang...

Darkleer doesn't know what to do with Mindfang 90% of the time, and the remaining 10% definitely does not involve having sex with her. Ever.

BUT THAT'S OKAY, he can handle this. Weird underwater city with weird shenanigans where everyone is apparently a test subject, dealing with his descendent and all the other kids, dealing with the other ancestors as they come along, avoiding Signless as he comes along (with varying degrees of success, most of them in failure)... He has his robots, he has his angst, and he has accidental parenthood. He can find ways to occupy himself.

They hit it off in a very interesting way, I think. Even before he became romantically interested, he was just plain interested. I mention occasionally in his conversations with other people that he likes to people watch. It's one of his activities he likes, and he doesn't do it to be creepy, he just finds people very interesting. And Summoner is super interesting. He is a war hero, and he holds himself like he's a war hero. He's brilliant, he's confident (which is a trait Darkleer will always find attractive), he always isn't afraid to push back just for the sake sometimes of pushing back, and he's also kind of an asshole, too much of a flirt sometimes, really plays up the fool... But Darkleer knows he's deep, and he keeps being surprised by just how deep he really is. So he just gets more and more interested in this young rebel general.

Summoner is one of those people who is just generally naturally attractive, I think, a real social butterfly, and in hindsight I guess it isn't surprising that they ended up attracted to one another with so much sexual tension.

Okay I think I've spiraled wildly out of control, I forgot where I was going with this, ah ha. I just love talking about my character and his interactions with others.

What I meant to say is that they're both very sexual characters, with nothing now holding them back from one another. Darkleer may not propose it as often- in fact, I'm almost certain Summoner has pushed for the sex more often he has, but whenever it comes up, Darkleer is more than happy to roll with these particular punches. Because I view him as a sexual individual who wants to please the person in his flushed quadrant.

TL;DR
1. I'm sorry, I didn't know IP logging was on.
2. I will take into consideration con-crit after careful thought about it!
3. I view Darkleer as a sexual person and not just for happy fun sex times. Although that is a nice bonus.

Hey, I got complaints about how I play him and this is the explanation for why. Now if these complaints happened to be in public, well, that's why I have an HMD, which is now free of IP logging, by the by.

Yeah, no. You're generally a really awful Darkleer. You have absolutely no grasp on a character that barely has canon and an even lesser grasp on Equius who should be at least a little bit of a basis for the ancestor.

It shouldn't matter where this crit is coming from. The point still stands you have no idea what you're doing and you joined Vatheon with him to play out your buttfucking fantasies. Please drop and go play it out in a musebox instead and spare the rest of us who might want a good Darkleer in that game.

I agree, but you also need to know that critting Ancestors is difficult in actual practice. They are canon OCs and almost everyone has a different take on them. The most you can do is crit if they contradict the very little canon that is given (hypothetical example - Condesce acting nice to trolls that she considers to be lower than her, like Signless and his gang) or if they do something that isn't normal for an adult troll to do.

that being said, the only two Ancestors I want to crit out of Vatheon don't have HMDs and I hear they don't take crit well either. and yes, getting back to the op, one of them is the Mindfang there.
