Rundown:

rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme. Your unfunny, forced memes also fall under this rule.
Do not treat this comm like your personal therapist. Threads about nonfictional suicide, self injury, rape, and abuse will be deleted. There are better resources out there for you.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

I wish you luck!

I've been wanting to get into the writing anonymous smut scene for a change-up but I keep getting dropped threads. I think I need some crit or something because I'm not sure if I'm being boring.

yeah it's tricky. i've replied to maybe 10 kinks wanted ads over the past couple posts and only one ever contacted me. i haven't even gotten to a thread dropping point yet

this is a long hard road

I pour one out for all the kinks wanted threads that never get off the ground. I haven't even been advertising there of late because I've had such bum luck.

i don't understand it at all

I get the feeling that some people post to the kinks thread with fleeting wants. When they don't get them right away they loose interest pretty fast. That happened to me once from either side. I wanted to play a scene out and it dragged on for a couple of months with nothing going for it, so I dropped it.

Someone else did the same thing to me after three or four posts when I let it sit for a couple of days while work was pounding me. Guess you have to account for time and playstyle differences in addition to having a very specific want.

it's almost certainly not you, friend. people just drop their anon kink threads a lot.

i've responded to probably 10-15 ads, gotten three threads out of it, one terminated because it was boring, one ongoing but slowing down, and one i actually got a friend out of. i've also stopped contacting people/not answered or contacted them because there was something i didn't like about them/their characters/something they said. don't take it personally, people are just really picky and when you're anon there are few consequences to flaking. just keep trying and it'll work out!
