Rundown:
rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.
Rules:
Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme. Your unfunny, forced memes also fall under this rule.
Do not treat this comm like your personal therapist. Threads about nonfictional suicide, self injury, rape, and abuse will be deleted. There are better resources out there for you.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.
Shut up about Tumblr. If it's not a discussion about Tumblr RP it will be deleted.

(Anonymous) 2016-06-22 10:33 pm (UTC)(link)16 jobs, though 2 were me going back to a company I previously worked for after a job didn't work out.
I was only fired two times of that, rest were voluntary resignations because I was sick of the job and/or found something else. Once was very likely due to me being female (couldn't prove it though, they claimed it was because I wasn't doing job duties well enough when I was not told there was any issue previously), another was because they lost my two weeks notice that I was moving across the country and I was fired two days after my last day for not showing up. Sadly not kidding.

four separate roles in one company I was at for eight years
fired only once, from subway after two days because I was recovering from pneumonia during the first bird flu scare and a regular customer flipped her shit. the manager cried when she let me go and gave me a hundred dollars on the side as an apology, it was weird.

(Anonymous) 2016-06-23 02:47 am (UTC)(link)I've had 6 jobs if you count my internship. My current job is my first salaried position.

(Anonymous) 2016-06-23 03:29 am (UTC)(link)5 of them were while I was in college, and 2 of those five were through the school doing work related to my major for a semester each. Not quite an internship and I did get paid for them, but they took on different students each semester so there wasn't a possibility of making them long term.
During my college years I usually worked 2 of the jobs at once. First semester of my senior year I worked three (my main two plus my major-related job), second semester I worked four (the two, the other major-related job, and a seasonal position). That was a really busy year but it was necessary because I was saving up to move after graduation in addition to paying my tuition.
I've had three jobs since I graduated and moved: one summer job that I worked while looking for other employment, one long-term stint in food service, and I finally got my first fulltime position recently with benefits and everything! I love my current field of work and there seems to be plenty of opportunities for advancement, so I feel really fortunate that things worked out this well.
