rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Ok, usually I'll agree that there's too many repeats but lately it seems like people have been really making an effort to come up with new ideas. Might just take a while for them to gain traction. Or, you know, for all the people that claim the comm is dead to tag out in them...

and i don't want to sound like mecha_sosa but there are so many people who do tag that are ignored.

as one of those people that tags out and makes the effort, it kinda sucks that even with that effort, it doesn't seem to make much difference.

i'm willing to bet a good portion of those people are a few who keep musedumping.

that and some of us are still tagging in the older memes and arent too keen on piling on more threads than we can handle because another one of the same kind is up

Basically. I have long ass threads going in memes from a month ago.

it's really hard to want to tag into a meme when i've got a tag going from the version of it four or five memes ago. some people like to play shit out. and constantly throwing up the same thing just sort of promotes flaking/shiny syndrome.

No, but unfortunately for you, courtly love basically became a meme used to refer to memes that pretty much never get used.

The real scourge of bakerstreet now is all the variations of the bodyguard meme.

i'm so glad i'm not the only one that's noticed that. bodyguard variations, first time/only time, come back to me/you're my rock, just... agh. and i really wish they'd just post the oral fixation meme instead of the cunnilingus or blowjob. it looks samey to post one or the other after and the oral fixation fits for both.

this right here is what i see as the real problem with bs. a lot of memes have too narrow a focus and could be grouped together to slow the posting speed of bs, allowing all memes better visibility.

instead of things like "slow dance meme", why not a more open 'dance" meme? i'd kill for my character to have the option of tangoing on their partner's feet.
