Rundown:

rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme. Your unfunny, forced memes also fall under this rule.
Do not treat this comm like your personal therapist. Threads about nonfictional suicide, self injury, rape, and abuse will be deleted. There are better resources out there for you.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.
Shut up about Tumblr. If it's not a discussion about Tumblr RP it will be deleted.

You're pretty much screwed either way because lying about it will always get people mad. Lying like that is going to get them labeled as a flake, tittybaby, liar or other labels that aren't very good either. Those labels will also earn someone namedropping and grudgewank. Honestly if someone is going to run to rpanons or wankgate about you and grudgewank about you, they don't need much of a reason. The best you can do is ensure that their namedrop will be scoffed at for being weak or lacking deets. If you actually lied to them, they will have deets to drop about being a liar and that is going to affect the perceptions of others more than being boring ever will. I know I'd probably give someone who is supposedly boring a shot, I'd not bother with a liar.

That's why "I'm just not feeling this thread" may be the best thing and just handwave a conclusion or see if you can skip to something better in the thread. If they are so bad you don't want to thread with them again then maybe a "I don't think our writing styles mesh well" is a nicer way to put it than "you're boring". If they are downright hideous and worthy of a namedrop (godmoding, infomodding, pushing stuff you didn't okay, etc.), screencap that shit and tell them never to tag you again.

Nobody takes the label "flake" around here seriously anymore unless you're Neko levels of stupid about it. As to the reaction of calling someone a liar, see the reactions to OP above. More people called them a tittybaby than agreed with them. The only deets they had were that the other person was tagging around and not tagging them, too. Considering 99.9% of people around here do that on the regular, that's not something that is ever going to earn you a bad reputation unless you do it to everyone you play with.
