why is it that everyone on my plurk who works at starbucks a huge grumpy asshole all the time. is there something about being a starbucks barista that makes you turn into the most oppressed retail worker of all time and you are forced to complain about it constantly every moment of your life.

ive had retail job/food service and there sure are parts that suck and customers are jerks everywhere but damn i also never gave that much of a shit about whether or not someone wanted soy milk or not.

Not in the game anymore but when I heard wind of this I hoped for the same. Looks like there's some interest so that's good. I'd hate for the game to go down because it couldn't survive leadership transition.

starbucks is hipster central so it's going to have a larger percentage of dwrp's majority demographic as both customers and employees

i knew someone who worked at starbucks and after hearing about some of the things they had to deal with, it sort of makes sense. you're on your feet for the whole time (barring breaks) and people are the most entitled fucks about their coffee. they can be incredibly rude and short tempered and very quick to blame everything, even their own mistakes, on the barista. even sitting and waiting for her, i've seen some rude as fuck behavior. and that's not taking into consideration the 'regulars'; the ones that are regularly rude every day, or regularly hit on her even though she tries to get them to stop. or crazy people that come in and steal creamers or w/e else she has to deal with. day after day after day, with random shifts that can have her closing two nights in a row and opening three right after or a close, an open, a close, an open back to back and it's just... yeah. it sucks you dry. depending on where a store is and how popular it is, how busy it gets, and what the majority of the clientele is, this doesn't surprise me at all.

Pretty much all the favorites listed from the last few posts are favorites because they're active and involved, and even the slower ones backtag forever.

But honestly I've found very few characters in this game that flake consistently that haven't also dropped by now. Maybe just dig through the network and log comms and see who tags reliably/at your preferred pace and try tout some threads with them?

On the planet Iniidae located somewhere in the Delphinus constellation, you awaken from a jolt of pain in the underwater base, ready to start a new day. You have a memory of some reason why you would joined a mission to scout the planet, record data, and make it habitable by any means necessary.

But that's no easy task. The base is small, claustrophobic, sometimes maddeningly quiet and none too private. Escaping cabin fever by diving out into the unknown depths could prove fatal with so many creatures leagues ahead of you on the food chain. The deeper you go, the further away from safety, the more deadly and strange the world becomes. A downed ship from a recent crew looms in the distance, wrecked, as a reminder that there isn't an easy way off now.

But don't lose heart. The only way to make it now is to move forward. You aren't alone and with your fellow survivors and a handy AI named URSULA, you can reshape the world. You can make it a better place to live. And maybe, with some luck, you can find a way off the planet. Or maybe you'll want to stay here forever in a paradise of your making. The water feels like home in a way that you just can't shake. It sings to you in your sleep.

This is Iniidae, a planet with its own will. But whose is stronger? Yours or the planet's?

NAVIGATION
Subnautica is an underwater adventure and exploration game, borrowing elements of survival and psychological horror as well as slice of life, with a plot driven by characters' choices and interactions with the planet. Characters must explore the depths, chart them and change them using terraforming technology. Characters will also be responsible for taking and managing on the local wildlife, whether through peaceful means or violence. Explore and create. Destroy and change. All of these things will have an impact on the plot and shape the world around you.
