tbf i've been following mostly on flatview, so from that angle when a discussion like this has so many subthreads going on all at once, perspective can get muddied sometimes.

Looking for a place to play this little bundle of cute and murder, no real preferences besides no sex games, for obvious reasons.

I had this recently (mild, but still obnoxious) on a piece of gift-art I drew as a set. I was really non-plussed and the poor gift-artee was steaming mad; the person making the comment didn't even seem to recognize that she'd shat the bed. Felt bad for the gift-artee. Some people have no tact.

Man, I have no horse in this particular race, but when did it become appropriate to treat dubcon/noncon as opt-out rather than opt-in? I'm pretty sure at one point the consensus was that anyone who tried to spring their rape kink* on another player when it wasn't agreed to was a total asshole who deserved to be dragged across the anoncomms.

*Not saying that's what OP's partner in specific is doing, it sounds like equal odds they're trying for something like a slap-slap-kiss dynamic while being too shitty a writer to pull it off.

I think it's cute too. You don't have to drop it just because some wankers don't like it. You also don't need to include dubcon/noncon just because some people's characters won't have sex without it. Not every game can be for every character and that's okay.

i'll be honest. i play from resident evil on and off still, but i'll only rp with my friends. that might make me part of the problem but man does it seem to have a weirdly negative "fandom" over here on dwrp. kind of sad, since it's such a fun, ridiculous series and i'd love for it to be more active.

skeptical. wtnv has a very specific charm. i know i definitely wouldn't be confident about being able to duplicate it, and i'd be a little dubious of anyone who claimed they could. i'm not saying it's impossible, but i'd have to give this game at least six months before i joined to see how the mods did with it, because it strikes me as very hard to do right and very easy to do wrong.
