I enjoy modding more than playing, as a sub mod not a head mod, but these days everyone expects you to play in a game if you want to mod there.

There are lots of good reasons for that, but it kinda bums me out.

they played wesker, which i guess is kind of ironic considering their world views. i can't remember either account but i know she was itsgametime/timetogame (igticons or something?) on lj and i believe she was in that terrible exitvoid cast.

glad she's gone but she didn't scare anyone away. a lot of people keep to themselves and some are in it only for m/m (there's this one really bad chris that seems to stick to sex games so they don't get called out on how ooc they are for example) or only want to play with their friends. i know there have been a few really nasty ooc weskers other than phase that shared the same kind of world views, too. a lot don't seem open to cross canon shenanigans even when they're in games and i think it's a reputation gained over time for the series. i know some people who play from it and they're good people but i can't speak for anyone who crawls out of the wood work.

if phase is still around she probably has new accounts and a handle but you should be fine, anon.

op shouldn't have to be the first one to say "by the way, I don't want to play noncon/dubcon". given the nature of the kink, the responsibility to ask is on OP's partner, not them. you don't just assume someone is okay with any kink until they say otherwise. and no, consensual sex does not count as a kink that needs to be asked about first. they are two completely different worlds and your attempts to conflate them come of as disingenuous, and dare I assume, projecting.

basically, you need to pick a position, either noncon/dubcon is a default or it's not, you can't play this devil's advocate "both sides are wrong" nonsense with a topic like this.

okay i see what's going on. you're talking about this very specific situation op brought. in which case, yes, it is conjecture on our part to assume that their partner is pushing for noncon/dubcon without communicating as such beforehand. i was reading this portion of the discussion on more general terms, as in when it actually is being forced on someone, and not just as one of a variety of potential reasons for the way in which op's partner is playing.

i do agree that op should be communicating with their partner instead of us. all we can do is speculate. actually, everyone should fucking communicate. can we get that on a t-shirt? "have you communicated with your rp partner today?"

that's one of the problems, too. horror doesn't have to be "scary" and even as a kid i didn't really think they were scary.

if they did i think the classic elitists would love it but it would do poorly because it'd just be the same thing again and again.

i'm curious to see what they do but from what i hear it's all new characters and i didn't like the style outside of first person. re has always looked way better than most other games so seeing that mannequin uncanny valley gloss is really jarring. i'm not invested in anything i've heard and even if they announced any familiar characters i'm still not sure i'd buy it.
