who cares if anyone reads it. if you will enjoy writing it then write it for the enjoyment you will get from doing it

I don't judge you for this, anon, but it makes me sad because it's the kind of thing that there doesn't seem to be any good disclosure for.

Like I start RPing with someone on memes, really enjoy threading together, characters have lots of chemistry, lots of potential for smutty threads, everything's going great until...

I somehow meet the player on plurk or something and get to chatting and we really get along and become good friends and that's great and all, but now every time there's chemistry between our characters that might be heading towards smut they drop the thread. All our CR has just fizzled because threads keep getting dropped just when they start to take off.

Meanwhile I know they're smutting it up with people they don't know personally. But with me? No dice.

I've had this happen and I wouldn't want to give up the friendship, but on the RP front it feels bad, man.

So crit them? Talk to the mods? Name and shame? You can talk about it all you want here but saying vaguely there are cliques isn't helping much. The problem players will keep being problems if no one specifically calls them out.

i get what you're saying, anon, but this is not the hill you want to die on. rip van winkle from hellsing is kind of skeevy by herself, considering she's literally composed of the author's fetishes and moe ideals.

when is the last time someone did a mass shooting who didn't plan to immediately kill themselves afterwards? these people don't give a shit if they die in the process of this, they don't give a shit if the people around them have guns or not. They choose schools because they feel they are the places that wronged them. They choose gay nightclubs because they're homophobic and closeted. They choose whatever space is going to offer them the most victims and the most press coverage.

we have cases of terrorists/crazy people trying to shoot up heavily guarded events already. they failed in this instance, but that's because of good security, not some grandma packing a .44 in her purse.

but honestly, and this is just me, even if it were the case that everybody having guns would drastically reduce the rate of mass attacks, i'm not sure that's the kind of world i want to live in. it sounds terrifying, knowing that everybody is packing heat.
