rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. Pretty much this.

For Hana specifically, some things I'd do if I was gonna make an account for her are...

1) Study up on South Korean culture. This'll give you a good idea of the background she's come from beyond what her Overwatch biography says.

2) Check out the eSports scene. She's a Starcraft pro specifically, but get a general feel for the scene itself. Study up on some gaming terms she might know.

3) From what I'm getting from her quotes, D.Va is a very bubbly, high spirited, happy girl. Make sure to keep in mind that she is only nineteen years old, being the youngest character of the Overwatch cast. She also has a decent sense of humor with quotes like "AFK" "Winkyface!" "D.Va one, bad guys zero." etc.

4) As some extra tidbits, keep in mind that she's a huge fan of Lúcio's and vice versa, so her favored style of music is most likely techno or what have you. She probably also owns his Synaesthesia Auditiva album.

5) As evidenced by her reaction to Widowmaker's "This is no place for children." quote ("Who are you calling a child?") you could branch this out. Maybe she wasn't taken seriously because of her age in the past? Maybe she feels like the cast don't take her seriously currently!

6) It's clear that she enjoys her status as a celebrity back home and enjoys being in the limelight. One such evidence of this is her quote "Now this is my kind of city! Lights, camera, action!" when playing on the Hollywood map.

7) The most fun part with a character like D.Va is that you can expand on her with headcanons. Don't make her entire characterization headcanon, just add some flavor to it! She's shown chewing bubblegum prominently in-game, so maybe she likes sweets? Those kinds of things.

All in all, if you use the kind of logic shown here for most characters you should be pretty well off. Some characters have more "canon" than others. (Soldier: 76, Winston, Tracer, maybe Widowmaker, and Reaper are the ones I'd list off the top of my head but people's opinions might vary.) I'm not the most knowledgeable on the characters, but D.Va was who I would've picked up if I didn't get attached to Jack firstly and that's what I would've done if I'd decided to play her. c:

Another thing that I've done (though this might be cause I'm a newbie here lol) is PM the mods of the game I was interested in and asked if they'd be okay with Overwatch characters (and if so, which ones) because to some they have enough canon but to others they might not.

Does anyone have any tips about how they time manage their tags for multiple games? Whenever I focus on one game at a time I find that I keep letting tags from other games sit for several days, and it's becoming a big problem. Do I focus on more games per day? Do the oldest tags first, regardless of game? I don't want to keep being a flake if i can help it. :(

i do translations too actually and i acknowledge that they're illegal. if you're worried about getting caught, then don't do it. it's not your readers fault when you're the one doing something you know is wrong.

I play a Catholic priest character from a canon where demons are a thing, except he decided to befriend the demons instead of fight them. So seeing the two come from similar backgrounds but have very different attitudes about non-humans would be interesting.

I haven't applied to any game in almost two years. So, I'm not really sure who you think I am.

I don't Overwatch, but this is really cool of you! I hope some folks take you up on it

I haven't actually done this but I've been thinking about it a lot, since I'd like to try it. My plan is to alternate games each day. That way nothing sits for more than 24 hours and if I'm really on a roll I can just knock out my inbox.

well, maybe i like suffering, anon (but honestly, i like it a lot, i just need to, y'know, do this whole tagging thing a lot better than i am now)

That's what I've been mostly doing, but the problem is, when you're in more than 2 games, you'll always have one game that will have tags sitting for at least two days (never mind factoring in time-consuming things like in-game events and plot-heavy threads!)

That's why I'm considering maybe doing tags from two games a day? It's just a modified version of the same principle, so I may just try that.

Thanks anon. I really do too. Everyone I've come across in this fandom on here has been super nice and it's giving me high hopes for playing here.

not to be rude, op, but you probably shouldn't be in more than two games if you can't manage your inbox properly. i'd consider shaving one of those off before anything else, at least until you can handle juggling so many tags at once.

it's not disbelieving there are idiots on tumblr. it's stories like OPs that have the same believability as stories that end in "and then the whole room clapped."

That's not rude at all, no worries, and it's been something I've been seriously considering. I'm giving myself a few weeks to try to wrangle a plan for my inbox, and if that still doesn't work, I'm dropping from a game. I love all my games and characters right now, but if it has to be done, it will be done.

Oh, I was looking to maybe find someone to join a game with. I wanted to see if anyone wanted to apply somewhere with me. I know that tangura is a sex game, which isn't really my deal :(! I loved the premise though.

Maybe instead of splitting it up by games split by character instead.

So like if you're in three games with two characters each, try and do all the tags for three characters each day. If you play the same character in multiple games then you might want to change up the split so you overall take care of approximately half of your total tags per day.

If that's too much, then you may want to look at bringing that down to something more manageable for you.

You might want to also look at wrapping up older threads as well so you can get the total amount of threads down a bit. Try and keep things manageable. It's always better to not tag out as much than it is to flake on people.

I don't have a sock but I'm really not too concerned about being associated with potentially playing Dib, so my current active account I'm sure I'll get PMs at is
