Even pdfs wouldn't stop it since it's not that hard to screencap stuff. Javascript to disable right-clicking doesn't work since most people have noscript and can work around it. Watermarks don't work because they often can be removed or they'll just be posted to the other sites with the watermark.

The sad truth is, if you want to be able to control where something goes, the only for sure solution is to not post it.

I've had my scans as pdfs as nobody has stolen them so far, even though I'm literally the only scanner in this fandom now.

I think it's because they're too lazy to rip the images from the pdf....I mean, they'll easily steal them if it's just jpegs/pngs on a winrar zip.

watermarks sounds good to me. even if their scans get out there, they'll still be traceable back to them. bonus: do the occasional watermark over one of the manga panels to make it hard to edit out

Echoing this as someone who's been in your position before, OP. I've had a person or two who eventually said 'yeah, no, the characters wouldn't mesh.' I've also found that digging into more tags seems to up the amount that players will chat about your characters with theirs in plurk.

Anyways, I've found that if I'm feeling left out, doing a strafing run through my tags and possibly tagging into some more helps. Avoid plurk for a couple of days and boomerang anything that comes your way with the best hooks you're able; try again later, rinse and repeat.

tell them to stop being a hypocrite, and if they're only going to feel morally challenged by illegally uploading and translating scans when they get caught then they shouldn't be doing it at all.

"no one can steal these and repost them... except me" is a bullshit way of thinking and of course no casual reader is going to respect that. tell them to get permission from the fucking artist first if they're so worried about it.

how is it weird? i'm in this game. i'm invested in the fact that we'll be getting new mods, and i'm personally connected to proof against accusations against someone who wants to step up.

if you're so upset with the way that gg plays her character, why haven't you critted her? we have bi-monthly mandatory HMDs. if you have all of these deets about her behavior on plurk, why haven't you shown any pastebins? especially if they're as recent as you say? why are there no wankgate threads to be mined for deets? why has no one who's actually in the game seen any of this type of behavior or playstyle that you accuse her of?
