This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

I would interpret it that my friend was kind of thoughtless and didn't pay attention when I told them I wanted nothing to do with the person in question.

I would then take the opportunity to remind them of that. "Hey, remember this conversation where we said X, Y, Z? I still don't want anything to do with this person, and that includes what you're asking me to do for you right now. Please, don't ask me about this again." Sugar coat it as needed if you don't want to be that blunt but not so much that it's not clear you're not down for this at all.
