piggybacking off this, any tips for writing smut in general? i have no problems imagining it and i know how it works. i can write foreplay and i can even write flirting and dirty talk, but when i comes to writing out actual sex i clam up or get embarrassed and i drop the thread. i also don't know how long a good smut scene should be

are you implying that brown people just voted to prevent brown people from entering the country?

focus less on 'dick in vagina' or whatever actual 'sex act' gets you embarrassed and try to concentrate more on the sensations. the feeling of being stretched/full from penetration, the feeling of being engulfed/gripped if penetrating. if you're doing f/f or m/m, it all depends on the actual sex act, but try to work less on the mechanics of it, which most people sort of mention then go past, and on how it makes them feel.

when in doubt, go through smut memes/smut games that aren't locked and poke through until you find writers that write in a way you feel speaks to you. everyone has a different style of writing. some use more purple prose. some are very abrupt. just try to find that way that makes you feel like you could do that and that you enjoy reading, then start doing it yourself.

there is literally no reason to get embarrassed when writing smut with someone. you're both writing it. no actual penises/vaginas/breasts/assholes are being used/shown. you're good.

90% of the time the acting will be better in Japanese. That's not because there aren't good actors in English, but because the pool of people that audition for jrpg (because lbr the only games weebs like me care about having Japanese voice acting is jrpgs) voice acting in English is very small. So you end up with two choices: hear that same voice you've heard 5000 times or hear someone really mediocre or downright shitty. It's better now that it was ~back in the day~, but it's still really noticeable.

Also, with games like this the great majority of the players will be playing almost solely for the characters and story. Having subpar voice acting really lessens the experience, so it absolutely is a big enough deal to just opt out of a game entirely.

Also, voice acting in general is a bigger deal in Japan than almost anywhere. They have over 100 schools solely for voice acting and being a seiyuu is a big "thing". It's not so much a thing here, so we end up with people with that acting talent just doing straight up acting rather than voice acting work.

I've been looking for a job for six months now, sent out a million applications and got only one rejection back - all the rest I was rejected from didn't bother sending any kind of response. I don't know what I'm doing wrong; I don't have much work experience on my resume, but I have skills and experience that are always directly relevant to positions I apply for, and I work hard to make sure my cover letters pull out the most important things and are all clearly tailored to the position in question. I'm not sure what else I can do, but I'm constantly stressed now about having no money, and being unemployed so long is making me feel like a piece of shit anyway.
