I've had 10 jobs (I'm counting the times I worked as a temp as one job since it was all for the same temp service, but if I were separating them out, I worked for another 5 businesses. Also counting a 2 year volunteer job, since it was...two years long. And I got a stipend.)

true but that "punishment" also involved getting heavy plot involvement and special attention. i dunno about you but most rpers i know love that shit and will jump on the bandwagon if it means their character gets to be special.

i have no horse in this race because i think the overreaching plot in this game is utterly boring to begin with but i still think the mods should have known better. basically it was a huge oversight and it happens. hopefully they just learn from this and can improve from there.

The above poster said they don't know of a job where dealing with co-workers can affect performance, Jobs with a lot of telecommuting are one because you deal with your work and very little dealing with co-workers so it won't affect your performance much or at all if you hate one of your co-workers unlike in an office where you can't avoid them.

i heard the line about stepping back to let things settle but can't tell if that meant 'we'll take some time to think over the arguments and get back to you when shit's calmed down' or 'we'll give you time to change your feelings because we gotta be ~firm'.

if they need time to decide what actually went down that's fine, but if the captains announced they're policing thoughtcrime as of monday i'd expect more in game reactions by now.

I work at a university library. It's a good job with good benefits (including free tuition), flexible hours, and zero patron interaction. I like it, because we're essentially back of house for the library, and it's an interesting and niche field. There are also some very monotonous tasks, but I tend to put on a podcast and coast through those.

My only major complaint is that I am on contract and have zero job security, so my life has to be planned in four-month increments. :( I really hate how standard job insecurity has become for my generation.
