Is there any interest for a horror game set in an otherwise sleepy town? I'm thinking of drawing inspiration from the likes of Silent Hill, Cloverfield Lane-style bunkers and the worst of creepypasta. So plots that would actually give you nightmares.

thisavrou seems to have a decent split between la and everything else, with a lot of crosscanon cr going on.

The person I most want to play with has more or less stopped roleplaying. I worry about them, not just because of that. And it's been tough coming to terms with how they were able to play so long and so easily with someone who sounded like manipulative human garbage, but then this severe writer's block problem happened after we started playing together. Can't help feeling as though it's partly my fault their RP spark is fading.

op, instead of looking for weird backwards explanations why anyone would possibly not tag you first, consider the following:
1) they're just not feeling the particular thread or your character dynamic that much.
2) you don't play a canonmate or a shipmate, making you a lower priority.
3) they are busy and don't have time to get around to all their tags in a single sitting.
4) you're just not as good as you think you are. sorry, dude.

bit disappointed in the game ads so far. nothing stands out for me since i want to app a particular character or something sounds cool but wouldn't be right for the character. maybe next month will be better. :/

don't hold your breath. atp is just one of those things that's dying out. there'll always be some games that still throw up ads out of habit, but for the most part, people advert here or on plurk.

The app workshop is useless because the problem wasn't that the mods had high standards, but that they had inconsistent standards. Getting other people to check your apps won't help if those people also don't know what the mods' criteria is.

i like the sound of most of this. i think people should be able to app more than one character at a time. maybe not at first. if they prove themselves to be involved i don't think it would hurt. i have a couple of questions.

if you start as a ghoul what happens to your character? don't they wind up serving the darkspawn or something?

would wardens get their calling or would you have them starting out with it which is why they're going to the deep roads?

when in the timeline would this be set? around inquisition? before?

So now there's rpers on the website, hanging out in between the failed fandom comms roleplaying with the latest technology like meme comms and plurk.

Ding dong, it's tumblr fandom, and they have fandom culture from the future like new stupid icon trends and ♫problematics♫. That means if you are the most problematic, nobody wants to rp with you. And that makes you a wanker.

Rping and wank spread all over dreamwidth. Some of the bigger games were exsilium, ryslig, ataraxion, holly heights, synodiporia, zodion, and mask or menace. But the most important thing was a new anoncomm, anticirclejerk, but it gets destroyed because the mod is dumb.

Knock knock, get the door, it's hateboner, who fucks off and make a new comm just for wanking.
"Please use the wank comm," he said.
"No, we're the same people," said everybody.
"Use iiiiiiiit," he said.
"no, we're the same people," said everybody again, quieter this time.
And so wankgate was put into place, with all the cultural changes that came with it.

+10,000 for monument valley. INKS is cheap and fun. I also like Illi, which is a platform-jumper puzzle game that's free if you're willing to wait for your lives to recharge. I bought it because I liked it enough and it's a much better experience with infinite lives.

I think it would be reasonable to let people earn the right to app more than one character after a few active AC cycles. The biggest concern is game size. Since we want to be very involved with searches and plotting, we don't want to be juggling too many characters and diluting everyone's experiences or making long wait times for search questions.

Interesting you should mention Darkspawn. Yes, ghoul characters would have the potential to fall more and more under the control and influence of the Darkspawn. This is a character arc choice we'd like to offer to people interested in eventually taking more party antagonistic roles and could be the focus of player plots.

Players would have the option of starting their characters as older Wardens on the verge of their Calling or new Wardens who would not experience it during the short run of the game. We will have an overarching plot that answers the question of why Wardens are in the Deep Roads and why the Legion is working with them.

We are thinking of setting this around Awakening.

I'm not the only one as I'm pretty sure I'd hear people complain about it (besides rpanons) if it was that bad.
