I wear a lot of black + pants and fandom T-shirts. People generally assume a handful of things:

-I'm in my teens (I'm in my late twenties)
-I'm depressed
-I smoke (I get asked for cigarettes a LOT)
-I'm high
-I don't know how to shop for makeup

I used to get followed around in stores a lot because people thought I was going to shoplift, but since there are more people wearing black with colored hair than there were when I was a teen, this doesn't happen as often.

They're just a collection of pictures that remind the player of the character. People like doing them because they're like a visual version of what the character's about.

There are some people that think they're important and those people are stupid but a lot of people just make them for themselves. They're like a visual version of character-inspired song playlists.

How do you guys come up with ideas for PSLs? I'm trying it out for the first time and I'm not sure where to start.

For me, what worked best was just starting with an easy scenario and only building things up when you've got a good groove going. Whenever I do a meme/psl with something big and intense up front, it just tends to fizzle out. At least for me. I'm not as good at PSLs as I used to be.

Question, anons. Do you think it is necessary to label a ship in a fic if the ship is not a major focus in the plot? In my current fic series, I do have a planned pair, but when the characters do hook up, it's a relatively small moment. The characters admit their feelings but decide to remain focused on more pressing matters, namely the antagonists and the threat they pose. To that end, I feel like slapping the pair in the summary would set up false expectations. It's still largely a gen fic.
