I really love Dorian/Yarikh-mun, I think he's really funny and fascinating to talk to and he knows good stuff and he has really excellent taste in occasionally horrifying spandex outfits.

On top of that, Yarikh is fucking adorable and great to play against, the genitalia-rebellion memo was fun to read even though he questioned his life choices the entire time.

So, anyway, I'm nominating Dorian.

I'd kill for a space opera game with a real ongoing plot that isn't just a string of wacky events. I honestly don't care if there's sex or not, although I wouldn't mind it.

Yeah, same. I was really glad someone put in that much time to write such thorough crit, too, because I know I would not have had the patience to go through everything like that. But all of it seemed reasonable, polite, and backed up by examples in his playing vs. canon, so the fact that he is ignoring it and won't even reply to it reflects poorly on him.

TBQH, this whole situation makes me really miss Anna's Catman.

Isn't Road of Trode dead? I've been considering Betenoire but like you said, it looks like it isn't going to last...

there's always some wank floating around the ecats games like any other game, but i think that the cfud thing is just that they're significantly different enough from the other games that they're a little tired of being lumped in with them especially when people complain about things like muns spamming plurk with their 'feels' multiple times within a few hours. nothing too terrible.

For those of you who play the pokemon OCs. How do you go about picking a personality/backstory?

Christmas Anonymous here. I definitely throw my support in for gifting Yarikh-mun.

Dorian was one of the people that I felt terribly about leaving out, but I didn't have enough money to gift to everyone. I am glad to know that there are other people who think he is wonderful, too.

Looking for a place that accept OCs but doesn't require playing a fandom character there first. Also hoping for medium pace at the most and a easy to manage AC. Games with a lot of plotting and events going on are a definite plus. Mainly I'm trying to avoid games that are fast, but aren't so slow I don't feel like I'm doing anything.

like other anons said, people aren't going to worry about sexing each other up when they're too busy worrying about their basic survival. i see four options:

1) ditch the sex clubs, sex events, etc etc, focus on survival horror, and let relationships develop organically as the setting becomes more stable and the characters get to know each other better.

2) take a cue from dirty vegas and create a more stable post-apocalyptic society. find some way to make sure that basic needs and safety are more or less taken care of so characters can focus on sex without worrying about where their next meal is coming from.

3) make the sex events as dark and absolutely fucking terrifying as possible for the characters. you mentioned something about using mind control and aphrodisiacs to get guys to hook up, right? play up just how frightening it would be to lose control of your own body and impulses like that. just be aware that this option could result in a game that's heavy on dubcon and noncon/rape (even moreso than your average sex game), which is very hard to pull off tastefully. it could attract a lot of players interested in the darker aspects of sex, but it could also turn off a lot of players.

4) ignore every other suggestion i've listed so far, and go for the campiest, cheesiest, goofiest b-movie style camp you can muster. let's face it, internet porn is silly as hell, and so is the zombie genre. so, instead of trying to make it serious, you might as well roll with it and embrace how ridiculous it is. plus, there's a lot of dark horror games out already, so players might appreciate something lighter. and, if they do want to do something more serious, well, underneath the ed wood trappings it is still a horror game. zombie face-eating is still a thing they have to watch out for.
