anon it sounds like, especially from you saying 'from what i understand', you might be missing the context of the last modset really harming their relationship with their playerbase. most people are not thinking of the "rotating cast" you mentioned in relation to the comment that anon made and also there were a couple of mods who were there the whole time/almost the whole time, too

I've only seen that a sandbox is "more open" than a dressing room, but being relatively new I'm not sure what that means. Thanks in advance!

sandboxes tend to be privately owned and they're player-to-player, or a group of friends. dressing rooms are usually public, anyone can join.

yeah, sandbox is usually more limited. it's got a concept/theme and might have apps to keep it so there's only so many people/versions playing in their concept. a lot of games that sputter out used to turn into sandboxes where people could play in the theme without the mods putting in anymore effort because it was 'mod-dead', but players still liked the setting.

dressing rooms are things with one constant (six word stories, smutty six word stories, ways with words) where anyone can just come in, post a post, and tag around. the theme might be dear_muse, where the 'muse' talks to the player in a post and others chime in. there's no limit on who can join, how many versions can join, aus, etc.

sandbox - game-lite, dressing room - open forum.

I thought it was obvious, but I meant when there is clear evidence of wrongdoing and not just hearsay from loud, obnoxious players who didn't get their way.

if a game is billed as "sex/smut friendly" how much sex should i expect? are they basically sex games or just games where you don't have to ftb on the main comm?

depends on the game, there is no uniform definition unfortunately

echoing 'depends on the game.' it also depends on the players, too. it's usually pretty easy to pick out which players are there just for the fucking and which characters are there for everything else

it's best to ask in specific game threads about it if you're not sure, since it really does vary.

i'm sure this has been asked several times but now it's relevant to me. does dwtools not exist for firefox anymore or is there an alternative?

i can't get it to work anymore. the extension file isn't compatible with the latest version of firefox even on developer mode

i've made do with multi-account containers + web text expander. doesn't have the icon options though

So I finished the series and thought Dedra's ending was such a fantastic, horrible way for her to finish things in that story but it really made me want to dig into her head and like... Explore what the fuck happens to her in five years or whatever after the battle of Endor when it all comes crashing down and she's presumably let out of whatever hole she was left to rot in. What does it look like for someone who sacrificed everything, who just follows orders, who did the stuff she did when the world she knows is gone? When she was devoured by the very beast she sought to feed? I'm looking for other Star Wars characters or crossovers willing to play in the Star Wars universe. OCs welcome.

Not sure I'm looking for anything shippy or smutty, but I'm not opposed on principal. More just focused on the state of the galaxy and Dedra in the post-Endor time frame.

I tend to pull from Legends as much if not more than Disney canon for post-original trilogy stuff mostly because I don't care for Rise of Skywalker and I find the waythe new canon sets up the New Republic really frustrating. A is a mousy young woman (my mental image for her is kinda Penny from Pokemon Scarlet/Violet, just aged up to late college, ~21 or so). (Alternatively, could be on a cruise ship? Lots of people in one small area.)

When she gets there, she finds a tiny fountain/well and tosses a coin in, wishing that she could have the sexy vacation she fantasized about. Turns out, this well/fountain actually makes wishes come true.

A's vacation winds up with her seduced by every sort of hunk and bombshell that crosses her path. She might be shy, but they're all willing to make a move first.

I'd like to play out mainly a series of vignettes as A gets her freak on and is seduced by gorgeous men and women in a beautiful environment. Some stuff I'd like to include:

* Public sex! Yeah, they're in a cabana at a beach behind a curtain but there's people right around the corner
* Threesomes and moresomes. "My husband and I thought you looked like our type, want to join us?" I'd love for her to get DP'd, I'd love for her to be the filling in a sandwich of two busty beautiful ladies
* Consent play, sorta? She's definitely horny and willing, but some mix of "wait this is going way too fast--" could be fun to include. Definitely nothing beyond dubcon, and it always winds up fully consensual
* IDK orgies could be fun
* Just random hookups, maybe anonymous, "I was in the ladies' bathroom to wash my face and now I'm bent over the sink getting fingerblasted" kind of thing

AYRT here, that's not really the point I was making though, so let's take Ryslig out and look at the broader picture

Mod teams will always have far more complicated dynamics than what's visible to the playerbase's eyes, especially in longrunning games where rotation happens. And mod teams will always be a mixed bag when it comes to their competence and social skills. More often than not, the competent members of a team are left doing damage control on something caused either by an incompetent co-mod, or by human error.

By all means, judge the incompetent mods, but to lump every mod who's ever touched a particular game together into one statement of “the [Whatever] mods” does an extreme disservice to the competent ones who were there purely by name association. I don't want to be a mod because of this prevalent absence of nuance which I see happening constantly on anon comms (and even outside them).

I just bought a new chair that I'm going to have to assemble myself, but the instructions they gave are REALLY unclear (just a series of pictures that aren't very good) because for some reason people don't use -words- anymore with instructions? Or I may just be dumb but it's frustrating nonetheless. If I can't figure it out i'll have to call for help I guess.

I don't think it's that deep.
