Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for fictional character role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.

Horribly, at least right now. My health has taken a turn for the worst lately, and my addiction is the sole reason I'm still working (I perform better at my job with it and I can't afford to stop working for rehab), so it's a double-edged sword.

i feel you, anon, and i'm sorry, that sounds rough as hell :( do you think there are any small things you could do to try and take care of yourself anyway, even if rehab is not an option for now?

Thank you for not judging me, that's really kind of you! I've tried to start eating a little better or taking medicine to help some of the health issues, but it's not really helping :(

no worries! i don't think judging people for this kinda stuff helps anyone, so i try not to do it.

i'm sorry it's not doing much :( i'm glad to hear you're trying, though, and i hope you can find something that works for you.

out of curiosity, are you in any sort of support group or community? i know AA isn't everyone's cup of tea, but do you have anyone who knows about your addiction and can support you?

It goes a long way when people don't treat us like we're trash.

I'm actually not! I'm a closeted addict. I also recently moved to the state I'm in and don't have transportation, so I'm struggling to get around for work/just in gettings my bearings, too.

sorry you're having a bad time, anon, and that you're going through it alone. maybe there are online support groups you could look into? whatever the case, i hope things get better for you soon. hang in there.

I've gone through online support groups, but a lot of it is rife with people who either judge you or have been through light addiction themselves and think it's easy just because they've had a support system. Thank you for the well wishes, though! It does mean a lot.
