rpanons is an anonymous community for fictional character role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Worst organizations you've had to work with? You don't have to name them, I just want a good horror story.

Oh boy, I've got a few but this is the one I deal with yearly.

It's a summer camp that does a week long camp at the college I currently work at. We can't kick them out because their organization head is friends with the board of trustees. We tried over the last 3 years to upcharge, bill for damages and just everything to make it out of their budget so they don't come back.

These middle school and high school aged students managed to rip carpet and damaged one of our multipurpose spaces so badly we couldn't have it in use for the school year. Upwards of over 8k in damages to the floor. Another 10k for the walls and equipment in the room. Another 5k in stolen food costs. It was bad, and we couldn't get them to pay the damages.

The following year they caused a COVID outbreak on campus. I had to shut down all camps for like 3 days before we could let anyone back in. So many angry parents and students.

This last summer wasn't bad just again little to no respect for the space or others on campus.

Holy crap, what are these teens even DOING to mess up the space that badly?

I honestly don't know, the students are all from families that are wealthy and throw money to fix their problems.

So me and my boss think it's one of those they think they can get away with it since their parents take care of the fall out. But this last summer we told parents up front that they would need to pay double the fee on lost dorm keys, swipe cards and damages to the dorms. That knocked some sense into people and we only had like 10 sets of lost keys and cards out of the 60+ rooms.
