Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. good call on the reading list! i usually set up a similar canon content post for my other characters just to keep major events on hand to consult when i need them, but that will really help to keep things straight. comic timelines are so confusing and winding (plus all of the reboots and events...) that it feels like picking a canon point for a game app in and of itself would be like the most difficult part.

part of what i enjoy about comics is having so much content available, even if cherry-picking is daunting, but on the other hand that had me worried about a mismatch of expectations or knowledge if i met a castmate. thank you to all the anons in this thread, this has really helped to soothe some of my worries!

re: canon points, ngl this is mostly why I generally pick a recent (or recent to what I've read) canon point. I have The Fear that I'll end up forgetting that my character shouldn't/doesn't know something that gets revealed at a later point.

this isn't a concern I have with any other media.
