Anyone know what's the CSS/HTML header for the navigation's Archive, Reading and Memories links? If I simply delete what they're called through Customize Your Theme > Text > Navigation, it leaves an obvious space in the layout's navigation. I want to hide it completely so only Entries, Profile and Tags shows up.

Does anyone have advice for adjusting b/w manga images for icons? Also advice on resizing? I feel like remember someone explaining a strategy for resizing without it getting pixelated.

- get the highest resolution scans you can; the better the material you're working with, the better the end result
- after cropping but before resizing, zoom in to like 300% size and draw over as many artifacts (grey pixels around the edges of white/black areas) as you can be bothered to; this gives you a clearer end result once you resize

these are photoshop specific but i would expect any graphics program to have these options, they might just be called something slightly different:
- flatten image before resizing, otherwise you'll end up with a stupid half-transparent 1px border at the edges of your image. you can also resize to 102x102 (rather than 100x100) and trim the border away, up to you. i have no idea why photoshop does this
- when i resize, i pick "resample: bicubic sharper (reduction)"
- i only use smart sharpen sometimes, but when i do, here are my settings for it: amount 45%, radius 0.3px, reduce noise 0%

oh my god, nayrt but the 1px semi-transparent border thing has been killing me for years and i could never figure out what was causing it. finally the mystery is solved, thank you anon for my life.

re that transparent edge: when cropping your image, look for and uncheck the option that says "delete pixels when cropping" or something to that effect. that transparent border exists because the cropping tool also deletes the pixels ON the bounding area (where the cropping window outline falls) by default.

anyone know someone who does icon commissions that can do a minor edit to the character? specifically, i'm looking for someone who could give a character a white streak in their hair so all my icons will match. it'd be for comic book icons, can provide high quality caps for it!

Where do people often source fantasy images/assets for RP games? The game I'm working on takes place in a modern-but-magical city, and those are the kinds of pictures I'm having the most trouble sourcing, especially without stumbling into AI generated content. Does anyone have any good resources to share?

ever since I got a new phone, gmail no longer alerts me (via buzz) when I get new tags in my Social tab. I want to either fix the gmail app so it considers Social to be important e-mails, or fix dreamwidth so it sends tag responses to the Primary tab, or fix my phone so it acts like the old one, or fix my life so I can act normal. advice appreciated on all fronts

i have a couple caps of wise that i took myself many patches ago, so it's lacking a lot of recent stuff, if that's enough to start you off, anon.

unfortunately i don't have any nicole caps, but i hope someone else can help you!
