The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. for real, it's good to have a sense of perspective, nonny. it's not weird.

at the same time, don't forget that other people may be far more invested in the game than you are. whether in a good way or a bad way. maybe they've been in it for many years, it's their home game, so it feels like they're losing a home. maybe they have no other hobbies and have hinged all their joy on this one thing. hell, right now I can see overreacting to a game closure being the only way they can express how they feel about the state of the world.

there was a time when I'd stay in big long-running games for up to 5 years, and closure was quite a blow especially if it was over drama instead of just fizzling out. but games don't last long enough to get invested these days, so I'm with you. shrug and move on.
