Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

sunk cost oftentimes probs, esp if they've been in a game for a couple years or more. it's a lot of character development and relationship ties that just aren't gonna happen again in another game, so it can get hard to move on, especially if the closure was sudden and migrating wouldn't have been their choice

some people probably get fatigued having to either blank slate a previously established character or start the intro rigamarole with a new one over and over when migrating from new game to new game. craus aren't always accepted, and even if they are, it's not always guaranteed their prev game cr is coming along with them, plus the feel's gonna be different either way

personally i haven't tried to get into any new games since my last one closed a couple years ago, am just meme & psl only now. but this style of rp has its own limitations and does not replicate the community feeling of a game either, so it's not for everybody
