Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not post personal information. This includes but is not limited to full names, addresses, phone numbers and so on.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme. Your unfunny, forced memes also fall under this rule.
Do not treat this comm like your personal therapist. Threads about nonfictional suicide, self injury, rape, and abuse will be deleted. There are better resources out there for you.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.
Shut up about Tumblr. If it's not a discussion about Tumblr RP it will be deleted.
Do not solicit money, Dreamwidth points, or other currency unless you are offering a good or service in return.

1 right now. 6 usually if I am regularly browsing, and 29 at max if I am tag-bombing.

some of the numbers here are mind-boggling to me, like how do any of you get things done?

as the anon with several hundred mobile tabs open on my phone, i scroll through them until i find the tab that is the website i need and keep going

i guess this is such a strange thought for me since i'd just put the sites in bookmarks for myself, but i am curious about what keeps you having all of them open? since for me, the clutter would stress me and i automatically shut down my browser and restart it if i had too many tabs.

for one, if i put things in bookmarks i forget about them and never use them with the exception of things in the bookmark bar but even those are way out of date. a lot of it is me constantly going "i might need that some time" whether or not that's true.

i probably could kill a lot of them at this point but 1) i'm lazy and 2) i have formed a sort of mental map of where certain things are which is stupid but occasionally i'll find some laughably old tab randomly like when i found one last year open to the 2020 election results before they had been confirmed.
