Rundown:

rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not post personal information. This includes but is not limited to full names, addresses, phone numbers and so on.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme. Your unfunny, forced memes also fall under this rule.
Do not treat this comm like your personal therapist. Threads about nonfictional suicide, self injury, rape, and abuse will be deleted. There are better resources out there for you.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.
Shut up about Tumblr. If it's not a discussion about Tumblr RP it will be deleted.

I really can't explain why one particular dropped thread has been making me feel awkward other than the fact that said person is in a game I had hoped to do the TDM for. To save us both the potential awkwardness (do they hate my writing? Are they worried about backtagging at this point?) I'm just going to avoid the game I think.

I know it's silly but my worry is just stupidly high that seeing me around might make them feel even the slightest bit bad when the reality is they probably don't remember me at all.

I have other threads to keep me occupied so my brain needs to work on those.

anon, if you let your anxiety control your life like this you will be miserable. you should use this tdm as an opportunity to teach yourself that your anxiety is irrational and doesn't get to tell you what to do.

i agree with anon i'm replying to that it'd be a good idea to give the tdm a shot, to teach yourself that your anxiety is irrational like they said, and also to teach yourself that it's bearable. you can be anxious and still do something fun and still enjoy it! you can be anxious and still do things despite that, even the very same things that give you anxiety, and i'm sure you know this logically, but it's a good idea to do it anyway so that your nervous system gets used to it.

if it's too much, or if the anxiety is not worth the fun, it's totally fine to skip the tdm or even the game, but if you want to make this a teaching moment for yourself, you can and i think it'd be worth it. keeping my fingers crossed for you either way
