Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not post personal information. This includes but is not limited to full names, addresses, phone numbers and so on.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.

I feel like this whole thread needs to learn the concept of "if there's a popular canon half of DWRP seems to be in love with and gushing over all the time, and I do not like that canon/think the art is ugly/hate the concept/am put off by the things I've heard, that does not mean that its existence is an affront to me or that the fans should quarantine their excitement to a single-fandom space. It means I do not like the thing, and I don't have to tag the inevitable flood of characters to my game, so I should stop whining about it."

I already heard elsewhere it has graphic s/a so I know to avoid it but ive had two plurk friends now try to get me to watch it, fully knowing thats something that upsets me. ffs just be mindful when you want to get people to enjoy your new shiny series that it isnt for everyone

not playing from it personally, but i can't wait to crosscanon tag all of the hazbins i see on memes.

any casts forming anywhere so far? kind of torn between picking up lucifer, alastor, and/or stolas (which i guess is semi-demi-crosscanon) and it would be nice to play off other characters in a game setting.

Today I got to enjoy a man in his 60s laughing until he cried because of this canon.

Lilith came up as a concept, he wasn't sure who they were, I told the biblical version, he googled it and it pulled up some Hazbin deets. He found the sentence ‘Lilith is the first wife of Adam, wife of Lucifer, Queen of Hell and mother of Charlie’ incredibly funny out of context.

looking for insight from BG3 fans! so i love bioware games, dragon age/mass effect are two of my top series of all time, i love dnd and actual play, i love rpgs where you can customize your own character, etc...but i'm having a really hard time getting into bg3 and i'm wondering if it's because i haven't hit where the plot ramps up yet or if it's just that i'm not feeling the protag (standard bard) i'm playing? for the record, i'm at the part where i'm trying to find halsin for the grove and about to confront kagha in the swamp. should i keep going on this playthrough, or should i restart with durge instead since i've heard a lot of great things about that origin?

palia (not palworld. two different things) is a "cozy sim MMO set in a high fantasy world" (devs' own words). think animal crossing meets stardew valley: farming, gathering, crafting, decorating your house, making friends with the villagers and learning about them, and also a bigger over-arching story that (so far) seems to be about unravelling the mystery that is the presence of humans (the player characters) in a place populated by people like the majiri (purple elf-looking race that most of the villagers belong to), the grimalkin (bipedal cat-like race), and the galdur (robot-like race created by humans in the ancient times). free to play on PC and switch.

anyone playing it? anyone playing from it? i have to say i picked it up just for the chill gameplay and didn't expect much from the story and characters, but i'm finding myself really enjoying both. the writing is nothing extraordinary, but it's pretty solid, and the characters are all really charming.
