This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. the anons describing an omegaverse approach sound, on paper, like they're advocating for a duplicity clone. which isn't a negative, necessarily. like mayfield, there are societal privileges/limits, and punishments for not adhering to the Dom/sub designations.

if op wants to keep the forced family unit, they could have a designated head of household with the social privilege & a helpmate that's the stay-at-home caretaker role, with child/teen characters assigned to the families.

I was thinking of this recently with some fond memories of Tanagura, the only problem is that creating a hard/fast divide based on hair color alone is hard. Alternating it doesn't make sense with the setting either (as Duplicity for instance changes doors every app period) but it'd be interesting to have something similar but with the divide perhaps being less about a physical trait and more like "you have this brand on your arm, now you are X" or something similar based on app traits.

I don't see why creating that divide based on hair color would be hard when the og Tanagura managed it? Honestly I think a big factor in it's success was that your character choice needed to reflect what you wanted out of the setting so you couldn't just app whoever you wanted without putting at least some consideration into it, and you'd immediately know when tagging someone what status their character was because it was something so visible in their icons.

I think the actual issue is that Tanagura required very dedicated mods to run, and those are in low supply these days. So many plot beats, active NPCs, actions and consequences tailor-made for characters, and enough active and consistent taggers that things moved at a decent pace.
