I got really sick of manually unlocking all of the stories in the original game, so I ripped the script files, edited them, and compiled them into e-reader format

You may see the occasional stray punctuation or Yuki, RAD, DDD, wwwww, etc. floating around before or after certain lines. This happened because my parser wouldn't correctly target English lettering among the Japanese/Chinese/Korean sections of the script, so I left them in rather than risk deleting anything important. Hopefully they aren't too distracting! I unfortunately severely jacked up the editing process on the Devilgram stories and need to redo them, but I'm intending to upload those at some point.

I hope this is helpful to anyone else wanting to catch up on the OG story before jumping into Nightbringer!

is it hard to get the qualifications to be an underwriter? is there a lot of schooling involved?

How long did it take you to get there? And what do you eat on a daily basis? What sort of meals would you recommend for a weightlifting novice? (I just reached the milestone of benching half my body weight without failing in the past few weeks, it was awesome.)

steadily threading with someone who tagged my top level weeks ago, and it's amazing how well the characters bounce off each other and how hot it is. it's cross-canon too, which i love.

honestly my day to day is mostly meetings and trying to guess the type of information higher ups want to know without them actually being able to articulate what they want to know. as for things i produce, it's often briefing papers, technical reports, presentations, and trainings (that i then give about my field). i dislike that i often have more hours of meetings than i do have hours to prep for them. it can be pretty exhausting. another part of my job that isn't really policy is technical assistance where i basically get calls from program staff asking for guidance on how to better incorporate my field into their work which is both my favorite and least favorite part of the job because it's always very obvious who has a lot of buy-in and support to actually change their operations and will be receptive to what i actually have to say and whose supervisor got a nudge that they are not following the spirit of some secretarial order/director's memo/executive order/some other operational push that has to do with my subject matter and they are now calling to check that box.

yes, when i was in undergrad and grad school i did very classical research. actually i worked in a molecular biology lab for all of undergrad doing all the very science-y things like smashing up leaves to extract their genetic material and then pipette clear liquids into other clear liquids. after grad school, i was a research scientist for a state government agency for a few years, but really what i was doing was monitoring. like yes i was using research methods to collect data in a way that was informed by the greater literature of my field but i wasn't out here making great scientific advancements. i wrote a couple short manuscripts that made it into low-impact journals with a heavy application focus, but more often than not i was just writing gray papers or technical reports of the findings for my bosses to make decisions with. but even in that position i was DOING a lot more of the actual monitoring/work than I currently am but it's kind of nice to have a break. ask me again in a few years if i miss it.

No for the most part, because there are all kinds of things characters never get up to for whatever reason that could be perfectly in-character outside the confines of canon material.

Congrats!! Half body weight bench is really, really good. My bench has taken a very long time to increase and tbh is still by far my worst lift. My deadlift is definitely my golden child.

I started lifting in 2021, took a hiatus during a lockdown and then was fully into it and competing in 2022. I started strongwoman training early this year but it has similarities to powerlifting so it hasn't been too hard to keep up apart from the fact that overhead lifting is hard for me

I eat about 130-150g of protein a day. Some of my fave meals are sweet potato protein pancakes with greek yogurt, egg mixed with rice and tuna with lots of seasoning, eggs, cottage cheese on toast, eggs...

I have found a brand of microwave, high protein foods that I like so I go through a lot of those for lunch.

For dinner I usually have chicken, salmon or steak with roast vegetables and brown rice. I'll use different sauces like curry or pesto or teriyaki to keep it fun.

If you're new to eating for muscle gain, my tip is to double the protein in every meal where possible. I go through a lot of chicken breast. Cottage cheese, canned tuna and eggs are god and you can add seasoning and beans to keep it interesting. I also try to break meals down by protein amounts and I eat like 6 times a day which works for me.

Yeah unless it's somebody like That Swede or they blatantly ignore my prefs (for example, by tagging me with an underage character in a smut meme when I've clearly stated 18+ characters for smut only), I'll give everyone at least a couple tags to see how things go. I'll drop 3-4 comments in if I'm still not feeling it even after a few tags though.

I love looking at the weird and wonderful businesses and their claims. Things like a combination accountant/dog trainer whose dogs ate a client’s documents for example. We did pay out on that one. Thinking about what are the major risks of their work is a lot of fun.

I dislike dealing with brokers who do nothing to earn their commission- a broker is meant to be an expert who can advise a layman on insurance but there’s a lot of what we call postbox brokers who just forward the emails of their clients. So I spend a lot of time answering questions anyone who can read a wording could answer.

There aren’t any qualifications that are mandatory, so no- there are optional ones but they show you take the job seriously more than anything else.

one sad truth is that powerlifting is a sport where you lift very heavy weight but you don't look like it and it pains me.

during my off season I do wanna lean up a bit and start working on getting ripped since I'd like to be a certified muscle mommy.

Depends on where you're working and what the focus of your institution is! Are you in a biographical based museum? Cool. You're probably going to have your main exhibitions be the focus of your subject and the primary people attached to him, and your special ones be about time, place, and culture. Local history organization? You can cycle through quite a bit more in terms of both theme and the items you want to show. (Textiles, archival documents, maybe you were a manufacturing town and have something from the major orgs.)

Beyond that, a lot of it is discussions and collaboration. If you're a curator that means you're working with conservation to confirm what can be put out safely (or if there are any limiting factors), the installers, other museums for loans, etc. 4-5 years to plan something is a highlight.

In terms of preserve, that can actually mean two things! Preserve as in actively send to conservation and have work on or preserve as in this is a potential donation/acquisition, do we want it? (This also kinda gets more specific depending on what type of cultural heritage worker you are -museum? Gallery? Library? Archive?) And in that second case you're checking what your collections policy is, you're talking with conservators about will bringing this in potentially harm other items, does this serve our institution's purpose/does it add value/speak to something WE focus on?

We have a especially wide period and narrow scope of item type where I am now because of our primary donor, which can be interesting to work with and be creative about.

It's hard to feel good about your rping when your tags get neglected or forgotten while your rp partner complains endlessly about the tags she doesn't want to do because they stress her out ....but does everything but yours anyway, despite claiming those tags are blocking her from getting to what she really wants.

these days i drop or unfollow anyone who expresses negativity like this. i just don't have time for that negativity. if they want to say those things fine, but i don't have to read them. it saves me a lot of worry to just have them off my plurk feed or be out of the discord with them

The new game has reinvigorated my star wars fixation and I'm now looking for a game to toss Cal at. Ideally slow to medium pace with powers intact or at least not nerfed completely. I'm especially interested in games that would allow Cal to keep his emotional support droid BD-1 but that's not a deal breaker. Would also love a game that already has some star wars castmates.

I am planning on playing Cal from the newest game (I need to update his icons on this account) so I probably won't be able to play him realistically for a month or so (however long a game's new canon ruling is)

I was really lucky in that when I started grad school my advisor was very open/supportive when I told her I did not want to be an academic and she didn't take that as some moral failing like I think some advisors do. She was actually crucial in connecting me to my current supervisor. Obviously the pay is always going to lag behind industry and there's always going to bureaucratic and political frustrations, but I think government work is a really solid option.

What type of game are you hoping for? I’ve got an option with other Star Wars characters, but it’s in the ‘sex positive’ genre.

I work in higher ed and it's more or less also event coordination
