That's not what a trauma bond is. It's not victims bonding over trauma, it's victims becoming bonded so tightly to their abuser, they have trouble leaving and existing outside away from them because their mind has become addicted to the high highs that come in between low lows and normal relationships feel "boring" by comparison.

there's someone in my game's discord server that keeps on banging this drum about technically incorrect use of the term "trauma bond" and man, words change meaning. a lot of people use trauma bond to describe bonding over mutual trauma now. it's everywhere. you're not going to stop it by correcting people every time it comes up.

i get that the distinction is important in academic or clinical settings but this is fandom roleplay. you know what they meant, it's fine.
