This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

big shrug. they blocked the scraper bots that let you index search with google so unless they have a change of heart and unblock them for some reason id assume no.

the only thing i can say is to find some icon comms and track them, or the dwrp disco server, as it has a bot that posts links whenever certain ones update. dwrp_icons still seems to be pretty active and well indexed

i've never used google to find icons. i just go to bakerstreet or dear player/mun and check where the other people got theirs. nowadays dwrp-icons too. tumblr has shifter their icon making and is using a style/size like ours so if you go on the tag "(canon name) icons" you may find some

the only time i used google was to search on insanejournal, which you can still do. ij is a great source of icons

he's already said that he's considering changing it back again so users just need to request it in namespace

i hope people do not do this because it would be nice to keep our hobby off the radar of wider fandom presence and rubberneckers and lessen random traffic to dreamwidth now that it's not on something as robust as cloudflare. "but muh icons" is not a great reason to put the site under more strain or scrutiny.
