I know another anon did elsewhere but it's not productive to conflate other comments into a thread that isn't even close to saying that all OP's castmates hate them. It is crappy behavior on the part of those castmates to scuttle other CR that the OP has, and if someone behaves that way, eventually the mun whose character is the victim of that might stop pursuing them. That is a fairly proportional consequence to ruining other people's CR.

i feel like this is a case where it really, really depends on just what the villain did in their canon and how they would behave when removed from their canon.

like, if the villain from one of my characters' canons showed up in his game, he'd probably agree to a truce just because 1) he and the villain had been colleagues at one point in time and still have a base level of mutual respect for each other, 2) there's no reason for the villain to be doing villainous things outside of the canon setting, and 3) the villain isn't the power-hungry, malicious sort but rather someone who truly thought they were doing the right thing and justified all of the bad things they did in the name of that. he'd likely not out the villain to everyone because he'd be willing to give them a chance and see what they did in the game first.

but the villain from another character's canon? yeah, my guy would be warning everyone he knew right off the bat because that villain is crazy and evil and would be dangerous to others.

Almost exactly a year ago there was a thread talking about making a light-hearted SoL type smut game that focused entirely on h-tropes. This would not be a sex-positive, or sex-friendly game, this would be a this would be a shameless smutfest of a game, but without horror and dark elements being required. It was well received as an idea, but I was simply not in a great place IRL to commit to it.

I am tempted to actually make it this time, so I thought I'd check what people think now + see if there were more ideas people had for it.

In the framing of a lighthearted, non-horror game, probably with low AC requirements that require smut, what's DW's current take and are there ideas you'd want to see added to it?

I will include the combination of what was previously offered in a reply comment to this so that people browsing on top-level only won't have to scroll as much.

The ideas from the previous discussions included:

- Bikini/Loincloth armor for characters which proportionately increases their abilities based on visible skimpiness. This may result in power nerfing that lessens more the more skimpy and provocative the clothes a character is wearing.

- Foods that when eaten will incidentally increase or shrink the sides of bodily assets, like a smutty version of Alice In Wonderland cakes

- All jobs and methods to make money directly involve sex, such as glory hole work or other food-kink based jobs.

- A forest of NPC creatures to interact with for xenophilia/oviposition/broodmare kinks, optionally a similar ocean.

- An implant that characters receive on arrival that gives them a bad case of the 'hentai brain', which will cause characters to - at a minimum - simply accept the sex-based society and tropes as logical even when they are not (optionally with sliding scale intensity so on entry players can decide how thotted up they want their characters to become)

- Battles or arena systems that rely not on beating each other into submission, but a point system where the loser is the one who orgasms too many times first. This may involve contestants wearing genital armor.

- A society based entirely on sex where hentai tropes are simply accepted and a part of daily life, potentially including things like PSAs about the dangers of having too much sex at once - and how to treat ahegao for those who are reckless

- Light transformation kink, allowing all characters hentai level elasticity and durability, allowing for handwaving of impossible insertions, short recovery time, aging up and down for kinkplay, and animal/xeno parts.

- Potentially an option to sign up with an agency to be paired up IC with another character as a onii-chan/imouto pair, adapted to the genders of the pairing, for either wholesome or pseudo-incest bait reasons.

- Assorted accessories that can be gained like time stop watches and hypno apps

- PC impregnation allowed for breeding/pregnancy/milf or dilf kinks

I love all of those ideas. I think I'd also add factions that would kidnap PCs to turn them into their breeders, following the trope of mind-breaking. Maybe as either permanent threats or an event.

I noticed the post above that there'd a way to treat people with ahegao, but I wonder if it could be treated as the equivalent of a death mechanic, that is only easily reversible if caused by events.

Ahegao as a replacement for a death mechanic could be a fun way to allow pseudo-death plots while keeping things light-hearted and sex focused! It could also be something done in degrees - with mild ahegao putting a character briefly out of commission, and intense or repeated ahegao potentially leading to the 'permanently mind-broken by sex' 'death' mechanic.

I do like the idea of such factions, too...but there'll have to be a balance there to ensure players only interact with them if they want to, so that they can indulge in the kink of kidnapping/breeding/mind-break and/or rescue and hurt-comfort sexing without making the game tilt toward horror or dark themes overall.

This game will probably need some mandatory permissions/opt out posts so everyone can make sure they can only engage in the stuff they enjoy...

These ideas are pretty neat! I'd say the implant might present a problem because some players will see it as being dubconned or non-conned into participation no matter what. Most people will probably be okay with it but IME it's better to let players decide how they make their characters become comfortable or not with the setting and smut requirements.

I'd also say to focus as much on worldbuilding the setting as the smut ideas. If you just create a boring sandbox that allows people to play out hentai tropes it will fail quickly once everyone's exhausted the kinks they joined to play out. The setting itself also needs to be interesting and provide a reason for people to play in the game vs just posting on a bakerstreet smut meme.
