ngl this sounds like they hate you for whatever reason and is trying to use your character as an excuse. you may not have done anything, but if they're excluding you that much just for your character, they probably hate that character enough to treat you the same.

i would just look for another game. this kind of borders bullying if it's not outright doing it and saying it's for ic reasons, especially if they're planning on recruiting others to do the same.

this may or may not be helpful but when i was really miserable in my career and felt like i had no job security it helped me a lot to make a written-out plan to change careers with steps to take

that way as i looked for jobs i thought of them as a temporary situation as i worked on those steps, and it was really good for both my mental health and also for how i handled my current work (i felt like i had options coming up, so i was less inclined to either deal with or care about bullshit)

this is very nice of you anon, and while i'm usually shy to tag strangers, i did find someone topleveling as one of my fave characters from a game i used to play!

i'm having a lot of fun with the thread, so it's already a huge W for me. 🥹

psychological horror would be awesome too, but i can't even find any games with good torture horror anymore. i miss games that had truly horrifying settings and evil organizations inflicting awful experiments on our characters. games with events like "randomly sorted groups must decide who gets put in the saw trap" or "everyone wakes up to find that some awful modification was made on them".

every horror game these days seems like a spooky atmospheric town with standard jamjar events that have some optional horror twists. anything actually horrific will be crouched in either alternative non-horror prompts or the option to play a much less horrific version of the same thing. they end up being 90% spooky slice of life with 10% horror.

(not that opt-outs are bad, but ime a lot of games nowadays even beyond the horror genre feel less like "[genre] game where you can opt-out of stuff you don't like" and more like "generic jamjar where you can opt-in to [genre]" if that makes any sense)

i tried to put together a game like this but i'm an lj fossil so i got shot down for having a too detailed setting and too bare bones events that depend on player initiative and that vibe of calm with random bits of horror hitting you in between... i don't know how to create a game for the current climate when the last game i enjoyed was ten years ago but i would live and die for one like that

this is so unnecessary lol. op probably just plays a character that rubs people the wrong way and none of their castmates want to get accused of being ooc if they ease up on a villain, and are being thoughtless in how they handle it.

if op is genuinely playing a villain char who's meant to be on grey terms with the other castmates, and it's getting played across the board as "they hate him", that is a problem imo

i'm sorry, op, it doesn't sound like they're being good team players. this has also happened to me before and the most frustrating part was that my canonmates had tons of mixed/positive cr with crosscanon characters who were worse villains than mine, which made it feel like something was wrong with Me, Specifically, especially when whenever i asked the message i got was that it was just an IC choice, although they were happy to use me to generate drama of the week for their characters :/

i think it'd be fun if niigo was still a group and ena's just unlucky enough to be the only adult, but kanade or mafuyu could be adults, too. i guess it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things but, like, lore…

anyway i just like the idea of mizuki teasing ena as always, except ena’s more than a few years older, giving mizuki more ammo. def looking for more of a shippy/smut angle, with them being in an established relationship or otherwise.

Slightly inspired by above I have a few scenarios I'd love to play.

1) One character being made to wear a locking anal plug and/or chastity cage out in public with the other character holding the key. Being kept on edge while doing some ordinary task and generally being reminded they're at the other's mercy. Could end with them sneaking off somewhere or making it through the whole event and getting home to reward the sub or a bit of both. With the latter option would like to include some other use of toys and/or restraints in a scene. Only interested in m/m for this one.

2) Hero and villain hooking up or a roleplay scenario of the same. Playing into the element of being enemies who still want to fuck each other and end up having hatesex every time they run into each other. Perfectly fine with this being a negotiated scene between partners just playing at hating each other. If going the latter route I'd like to include an element of 'coercion' where the one playing the villain is blackmailing or otherwise pressuring the other into it and playing that up.

3) Another superhero-type scenario. Immediately after a fight the pair are all riled up and slip off to fuck right away. Semi-public with the risk of being caught, would love to include fighting for dominance maybe power use and just generally roughing each other up too.

4) Exactly as the name says, one or both characters have a secret identity or are undercover or similar and the other doesn't know who it is they're really having sex with. Bonus points if there's animosity towards the real identity that means they wouldn't consent to sleeping with them if they knew.

Except for 1, I'm open to playing m/m or m/f with these and willing to play either side. I'll be playing an animated canon character and I'm open to canon and OC characters of any type so long as they're over 18 (aged up is fine). Also more than happy to combine ideas and throw other kinks in.

+1 big leap to go from "characters have ic reasons not to want to associate with a villain character" to "they specifically hate you, the player".

speaking as a former villain player, this is a common problem. it's very unlikely that everyone who encounters it is just hated by the cast.

honestly this is hard to weigh in on without knowing the canon or what the villain did. it's hard for people to icly justify their character being okay with someone who murdered everyone's families, for instance.

this. i play a villain who is hated by the entire cast for very good reasons. that's not people being mean to him or to me, that's "he literally ruined all of these people's lives and caused the deaths of people they cared about."

you are not your characters though. players still have to communicate with the villain's player. derailing cr for the drama without giving them a heads up or seeing if the player they have cr with even wants to know is shitty.

I play a lawful good type character that has really deeply interesting cr with a few villains/morally dubious characters. they are either keeping their terribleness on the down low, worming their way into my guy's good graces to manipulate him, or are slowly (a year+ of ic) turning over a new leaf.

if the villains were outed from the get go, I would have had none of that, and it would be pretty boring.

i agree with the derailing other cr point though. op, you should go to the mods of your game about that, it's not cool and i think most mods would look into it.
