1. the events have been lackluster and boring for months now unless you're into pet play, AU, or VR. the mods are burning out on their own game and it shows.

2. the game's gone on long that everyone's settled into their own playgroups in the sandbox. they're too busy with their CR and the plans they already have with them to care much about events they're not interested in or have played out already.

3. the worldbuilding gimmick's been played out. there's not much left to build that's interesting to make much of an effort for.

4. in general, erku doesn't have much to offer that a player can't get off of smut memes on bakerstreet or in psls.

i'd be surprised if the game wasn't converted to full sandbox mode (no apps, no AC, minimal mod involvement) by the end of the year. it's just not an interesting enough premise to sustain itself for too long and as you said, the mods don't really seem to give much of a fuck.

it'd be the wisest course for it at this point. the game's not going to change unless the mods do, too, and even then, i think most of the players are still going to stick to their comfort zones anyway.

...it's a sandbox game, anon. it was advertised that way from the start.

like, if you wanna be butthurt about casts, you do you, but i think you're in the wrong game if you were expecting otherwise.

it's literally a sandbox where characters fuck their sandcastles and toys into existence. even the mods gave up on it ever being anything more than that.
