wondering if there was some kind of drama I missed from not using discord or plurk much. feels like a lot of drops?

not afaik apart from the scheduling hiccups described on the ooc comm, but I’m not really tuned into other players on plurk/discord either

I think there was some sort of drama with River Song's player--the application of her second character was withdrawn after revisions were requested for her character's immense powers, and then she dropped River and the Zelda Spellman character (who was dating River) dropped.

am i the only one who has a real hard time engaging with and finding out information on the metaplot? we are meant to play detective and try to investigate but after all this time there is still nothing worthwhile.

am i doing something wrong, or is this happening to other people too?

No, same here. And the way there’s IC blame coming for this (“you tech people aren’t working together enough”) really chafes my ass a little, because that is entirely not why we’re not getting anywhere.

thank you, nonny. i felt like it was a "me" thing but all the metaplot i try to participate in goes nowhere.

tbh i think the mod is making this extra difficult by insisting on giving info only by popping into logs rather than explaining what will happen when ppl ask. for example yakko and mono were investigating the carousel thing and the mod just never answered that log so this never went anywhere... the hospital investigation felt like a huge waste of time for most characters and again no actual info was found, just long descriptions of the building.

i love the game, but this is getting frustrating imo

If you look at the plotting/calendar post, there's people who have been trying to do things to poke at the world and who've been left on read for over three months, as far as I can tell.

just saw that and it's very disheartening

sounds like the mod being PA tbh. not really surprised. and just to be clear, not wishing doom and gloom on the game or anything, the premise is super cool and i almost apped but i had a feeling she'd start doing this so i steered clear. hopefully she'll clarify things a little.

it annoyed me when someone suggested her to take some helper mods and she just went "nah i can handle this" and basically the past couple of months have been delay after delay bc she can't handle it at all...

yeaaah this may be one of those "make your own fun and do your best to ignore mediocre mods" games. obviously this isn't a WORST MOD EVER scenario but it's starting to sound like it's better to keep her at a distance and do your own thing as much as possible.

yeah. idk how long i will last like that sadly, my character is not the best fit for a "shit happens, everybody goes along with it, no explanation needed" type of game.

Oh, naw, that was referring to a player post on the network rather than something from the mod. Basically a character went 'we're not getting anywhere because the tech people are all working as individuals, fix that.'

Nah I get that. I play said asshole and wasn't intending to chafe anyone out of character or imply that it's the players fault.

I understand the frustration OOC better now that I know what's going on.
