Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

TFW you meet someone who has a journal for and claims to play that rare castmate that you long for... but you quickly discover that they either don't play them at all or only have the confidence to play them with that one specific RP partner that they've known for years. Then it quickly becomes obvious that they will never give you the time of day to actually attempt to earn their trust to possibly try out that character.

This has happened to me multiple times, and I'm not gonna fuss/pester/pressure someone but... you got my hopes up, man.

I'm not OP, but I just get terrified of sticking my neck out. What if I don't RP this character well? What if *I* flake? Can I ever live down the shame? So I end up playing mostly with close friends and it takes a bit for me to open up to a new RP partner.
