This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. like the above anon said, canon AUs can be really fun if it's a popular and well-realized setting.

I love AU settings where either there are interesting factions involved and a sense of history about them, or there's some kind of cool native magic that I can build characters in relation to.

historical (Earth) AUs can be really cool, but tend to fall flat in the execution because players will just take a few small bits of aesthetic from whatever era it is and then insist on having their characters talk and act exactly like people from the 21st century, so idk.
