Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

idk about this person but i have friends who routinely buy game bundles that contain extra copies of games they own and just hand out the steam/etc codes for because what else do you do with it but be nice

it happens a lot if you buy bundles. i'll buy a bundle because it has maybe two or three games i want and then a couple that i already own, so i just give the codes for the extras out to friends who want them.

As the above anon says, that's mostly it! I've actually had Humble Bundle and used Fanatical (and previously chrono.gg before they changed their business model) since they started bundles so I've amassed a lot of keys over like, 8 years. I also trade with people on Discord and know people in the industry (it's why I have so many keys from certain devs).

Generally, it's also because I have them before the bundle came out or I have had interest in other games in a bundle or am not personally interested in a particular game from a bundle.

No worries! I didn't think you were. It's a lot of keys to have.

I also forgot to mention Green Man Gaming, which tends to do bundles of newer AAA games, in case anyone else is occasionally looking for some good deals. They seem to be doing them less now these days, though.
